So this was my first time going to this restaurant. I read the reviews, and one of my former co-workers told me about this place, and I’ve had other people tell me this was a great place for good food as well as live music. So, I ended up taking my wife for her birthday, and she loved it. Now I will say that we did have to wait on our food, but when we did get it, everything was hot and fresh. Both my wife and I loved the wings that were on the appetizers menu. Another thing is you have to book a table early or get there early cause the place gets packed quickly. But I will definitely be going back.

I frequent Kathryn’s at least 3-4xs a month.. sit at the bar where service is pretty good as well as drinks and food. They are always packed and so I know to arrive early. There was someone different at the bar on this day assisting due to the crowd and he wasn’t very friendly. I dined there on Father’s Day and upon us leaving we were talking in the parking lot. A black couple entered the establishment and exited quickly. My daughter asked them if it was too crowded. They said no, the older white lady was very nasty, told them it was a wait and she couldn’t say how long it would be and didn’t ask if they wanted to be added to the wait list. Soon after, a white couple entered and came out quickly…this time an older bald white man & older white lady ran to the door, whistled at the white couple to get their attention and told them to come back! They could seat them ASAP as he had found a table that was not being used and he would accommodate them.The black couple were barely in their car but they didn’t acknowledge them at all!! The racism and discrimination was so disgustingly obvious in that moment!!

Sat in the bar. The bartender/server was so sweet, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Music was fantastic. Food was incredible. Had the scampi to tomato and gonocha (sp) a spinach dish with bacon! The combination of flavors was incredible! Will definitely be back!

I’m a big time foodie and I gotta say, this is one of the best restaurants in MS. My BF and I was just there for our 3 year anniversary, food was amazing. I gave it a 4 because the air conditioning was probably set at 85, felt like my makeup was about to melt off of my face, and I found a hair in my food. Management apologize by giving us a free slice of cheesecake. We enjoyed the place and will be back soon, probably on a cooler day haha.

The food was good. The first time I went the service was extremely slow, but this time everything came out in a timely manner and our server was great. When you walk in you’ll think someone from staff would AT MINIMUM greet you or maybe tell you where to sit, but that’s unfortunate. They also have live band, granted I NEVER heard one song that was played, but the musicians were nice. Give it a try! 🙂

Service was really slow. Don’t know if it was a staffing issue or what. I do know that it was really busy on a Tuesday night. So maybe this was the issue. Food was really good. We had 5 in our group and we all enjoyed our meal.

Walked in to live music on a Sunday night, they have $17 prime ribs and red fish specials. Got there around 7:30, but didn’t leave until 9:12pm. The food came out pretty fast, but wish staff could take our orders and deliver checks faster though. Over all it was great, and we’ll be back! I’ll make sure to order food and drinks at the same time, so we don’t stay for more than an hour.

Great atmosphere. Bar is separate from the dining area, has live music, is a great venue in itself, and a great place to wait for a table. Angie exuded the warmest southern hospitality as our server. I had rare prime rib at near 11 p.m., perfectly cooked and seasoned -a feat for that hour. Don’t miss this place
