Had a party of 7. We were bar hopping on bikes. Got hungry and hit this place for lunch. Cheese curds were good. The blackened grouper was excellent! Pepper rings were big. Everything was on point.

Still just as amazing as the first time! This place never disappoints. Our server, Paula, was fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions. You can choose to sit indoors or outside, but no matter where you sit, you’re going to love both the food and the service!

A great place. Whether you want a drink or dinner – perfect for either or both. Great outside covered bar area. Inside is clean and quaint.
I really wish I could remember our servers name – she was phenomenal! (Long straight blonde hair and a very quiet speaker)
Everything we got was delicious.
One item came out incorrect and she fixed it promptly and was so super apolgetic. We had a party of 7 and she kept up and made sure we had everything we needed.

The food and service are always great! The owners treat you like family and truly understand the importance of customer service and appreciation. After Hurricane Helene hit, for two weeks, possibly longer, (that time was a big blur) Kathi’s fed the entire town. As someone who lives and works in Steinhatchee, I’ve seen firsthand how Tom and Melissa always put our community first in ways that often go unnoticed. Steinhatchee wouldn’t be the same without their big hearts, amazing customer service, and incredible food.

The food was amazing. Our server seemed quite busy, but did a great job taking care of us. They have inside & outside seating. There was music playing while we were there. A bar is on the outside as well. It’s a definite on stopping by for a meal. If we come back It’s on the list of places to eat again.

My number one complaint: it’s a literal crab place but they don’t have any crab picks to get all of the meat out. I want every ounce of crab meat possible. Plus, we had some grouper and it didn’t taste like grouper…
Otherwise, I had the 6 blue crab and they were GREAT! Our server was super quick and attentive. Plus the music was lively.

The spot is nice and service was good but I wouldn’t eat here again. Whole flounder was really overcooked and had no flavor except the taste of old oil. Hushpuppies were probably the worst I’ve had. Slaw, limas, collards, and fries were bad. Grits were pretty good. Fried shrimp were just ok, again overcooked. Raw oysters weren’t shucked, had to use my knife to get them out. Not much in the area but I wouldn’t recommend here.

Kathi’s Krab Shack did not disappoint! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the low boil was absolutely on fire—packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The gator tail was money and a must-try. On top of that, the service was amazing: friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others!

Me and the family had a really good time here. Had a live band. Had outside tables and inside tables. I’m really cool atmosphere had some really cool decorations. The food was super awesome we got a whole bunch and it was very delicious. The employees were super awesome they were very kind and all the people that were sitting there eating were really nice so it was an awesome family experience.

My wife and I had the two-choice option- fried scallops as nd grilled shrimp. We also had the grilled shrimp appetizer. All were very good. The service was great, except we didn’t know where to go since there was no one to greet us. The atmosphere was great. It felt like Key West. It helped that the temperature outside was mid-70s. If it had been cold, they had a number of outdoor heaters ready to go. I went to the restroom and found a lady washing her hands. There were two stalls, one with a door and one without. She said hello nonchalantly, so I went into the one without and began my business. She said goodbye when she left and I finished. It was only when I left that I saw restrooms in another building behind the main dining area. I guess this was a unisex restroom. Anyway, this incident soaks to the informality of the place.
The majority of the seating is outside, though there is a small interior dining room.
We will return if we’re still in the area. It was a very good experience.
