If I could have given this place a zero, I would have. I ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich, and they used ham. I ordered a cinnamon roll and we didn’t receive that either. I was supposed to get a cup of fruit as well, but it was actually just a condiment cup with 5 pieces of rotten fruit. Also, got breakfast potatoes, but they had onions in them and this being my first time ordering, that was not stated anywhere. The potatoes were half cooked and cold. My sandwich actually looked like it had been stomped on and It was falling apart. When my husband picked it up, he tried to inquire about things and no one even acknowledged him. Sickening. HORRIBLE customer service. We will never order from them again and nor will we ever go there. Do better!!!!!!!

What a long 1 hour and 15 minute drive to get here from Lenexa KS. But if the crowd is an indication of this restaurant serving great food, the long drive and 20 minute wait are worth it.
First off, they are generous with their condiments: I ordered tea and they gave me a hot water carafe and a plate of 7 different tea bags and honey. Water is served in a pitcher. Jelly packs piled high on your table.
Staff is very friendly. Leah was very patient with me trying to figure out whether I want salad, omelet, sandwich or ??? I first ordered the healthy start which is egg white omelet but she suggested the salmon sandwich which she claims is very fresh grilled salmon. You get 2 sides with the sandwich so I picked Cole slaw and fresh fruit.
The salmon sandwich was really delicious: salmon was fresh, wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sandwich was a brioche bun, laced with a great tasting spread/dressing, topped with mixed greens. The fresh fruit was good, just wish there was more of it, maybe wish served in the same size dish as the cold slaw…?? Cole slaw was also fresh and the dressing was perfect.
An expected experience came when I was told my bill was paid for by a local frequent patron. Thank you so much for your generosity. It really tells me of the heart of this city, with good gracious values. I will make sure to pass it forward!

Delicious food and great service. We went on a Sunday and had no wait but by the time we left there was quite a line. Looks like it is a very popular breakfast spot. The biscuits from the biscuits and gravy were a little more chewy like bread than crumbly like I’m used to but still delicious.

Kate’s Kitchen is an excellent breakfast stop. I had time before my flight and Google found this breakfast spot 15 minutes from the airport. I ordered their egg breakfast with ham. Its was delicious. Option with it was a plate size pancake, assorted toasts or biscuits. This place knows how to make biscuits! Large, fluffy and buttery! This was a wonderful breakfast, easy to get in to parking and I only had a short time to be seated. Enjoy!

My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered the cheesy omelet with breakfast potatoes, biscuit and cinnamon roll to share. My husband ordered the pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage patties. Everything was hot and good. Service was great.

I went for the country scramble and it was spot on. The eggs were fluffy and packed with plenty of flavor from the meats and cheese. It was hearty without being too heavy and felt like the perfect breakfast. The place itself was casual and welcoming which made it even better. I would definitely order this again on my next visit.

Stopped here on the way back from Chief’s training camp in St Joe to Kansas City. It was about 7 minutes out on the way and definitely worth the stop! The breakfast menu has actual unique options like a smoked brisket omelette and corned beef hash beni. I actually wish I could have ordered two things off the menu! If my husband had the corned beef sandwich and I took a bite and it was also quite amazing! Ordered a cinnamon roll to go and the lovely waitress gave it to us for free since it was our first visit. It looks delicious! There is another location in Kansas that we have not tried since we didn’t know this existed until today. But that I’m looking forward to trying that when I’m in the area next! Prices were exceptionally reasonable. The smoked brisket omelette was less than $12 and huge. In fact, I didn’t see anything on the menu that was over $12. I also worried about stopping because I was just anxious to get home. But the food came out very quickly even though they were Saturday at noon busy. We waited maybe less than 10 minutes after placing our order to get our food. Best of all, they give you a picture of water and coffee carafe if you order coffee. So you don’t have to endlessly wait on refills!

Absolutely delicious brunch food for a decent price. The two of us came in this Sunday at 11:05 and were out by 11:28! Got our food so quick and everything was just as we ordered it. 10/10 we love Kate’s kitchen. We always get excellent service as well.

This place really surprised me. I found it by accident on google and I really cannot say enough good about it. I had an excellent “Kitchen Sink” omelette with added jalapeño, great wheat toast, home fries crispy, and a hot cinnamon roll for dessert. Everything was scrumptious and the waitperson was very friendly and made good suggestions. Water already on the table, a real glass water glass!
