Here at Katana Sushi Hibachi, our mission is to serve the freshest sushi that you can find in Marietta! Like hibachi instead? While we went for the kitchen hibachi method over the grill-in-front-of-you-show-and-tell-send-you-home-smelling-like-a-restaurant approach, we hope that you will give our Japanese traditionally trained chefs a chance. Gourmet Japanese food right here in your backyard, why not stop in for a taste? Japan is a pretty far flight… For our work-from-home, and stay-at-home folks, we have an excellent take-out menu! Whether it’s lunch or dinner, rain or shine, stop on through for some excellent food.

The food and vibes were great! The spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail sushi dishes tasted the same because the seasonings were the same, according to the waitress. That was a little sad because I was expecting two different rolls. The lunch special box was decent though, the chicken was alright seasoning wise but the yakitori was nice.

What a little gem! Went here on a whim, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sushi, the service, and attention to detail.
When a sushi place has uni, you know you’re in the right place, whether you ear it or not. And they have it.
The special that day was live scallops, OMG, so good, check out the PIC.
Their presentations were amazing, and I loved it.
I would make this my new go-to for sushi, but it is too far away from where I live, but if I’m ever in the area, I will definitely stop by.

Can not say enough about this place. They are friendly, the atmosphere is modern, and the food is above average. We always enjoy sitting at the sushi bar, where the small tasting is a treat before the mean.
Highly recommend if shopping the Avenues in East Cobb.

This place needs to be on a tour guide, It’s incredible!!
The service was great!!
Came in for lunch with my wife and young daughter. We have eaten sushi at hundreds of places and several countries and Katana did not disappoint!.
I believe Jimmy was our server, he was super cool and nice, was attentive. Our compliments to the sushi chefs as the rolls and individual sushi tasted fresh and delicious!! The edamame and soup were awesome. We’ll definitely be going back. Thanks again!

Went back a few days ago with the family. It was missed! Again incredible service and absolutely Top Top food. Everything was incredible!!
My son ordered Chicken nuggets and fries, who knew they had that!!, then my son was feeling like he wanted to try some of what we were having and he ordered a Shrimp Soba and he loved it!!!!!. So happy to have this place only minutes from us. Everyone there is incredible and always smiling and treated us like Royalty!

Went back with the family. Ordered many of the same rolls we’ve always gotten and enjoyed.
Right away, we noticed that the rolls were a miniature version of the rolls we’ve had every other time we’ve been there.
Smaller in size and pieces. But same prices
Then I ordered my usual 4 pieces of Unagi…. they arrived and were easily Half the size of the last time we were here.
The desserts were loved by all but time to try another place.

Have been here now 3 times over past 2 months, and all times the food was excellent and fast to come out. This time before dinner we tried an appetitizer of a dozen raw oysters on the half shell, simply succulent! Awesome seasoning. This place is not cheap, but the presentation of the dishes and especially the sushi makes it worth the trip. Highly recommend!!

We finally had a chance to go visit katana sushi after hearing some great reviews, and decided to make our experience more proper by sitting at the sushi bar and chatting up the chefs. The atmosphere was really well done, and the service was beyond top-notch. Overall the service was quick, the food came out, incredibly fast and well-made. Pricewise it’s a little more expensive, but not out of the ordinary. You still get better sushi at Egge Sushi Near the 120 loop.
Take note: at the time of this review, you are allowed to bring your own alcohol on premises, which we did, and they were totally fine with it. They even offer cups needed for wine or sake. We grabbed a bottle of Sami from Publix and worked like a charm. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great sushi in the East Cobb area.

The portions here are huge! Definitely worth the money to have two meals worth. The people were super kind and welcoming. Food was very tasty. We will definitely be coming back!

What a fantastic gem! We got the sushi boat for 4 because we were hungry and wanted to try everything, and everything was absolutely fantastic. Fresh, thick sashimi. The sushi nigiri had individually paired toppings and was so delicious. Prices are great too. Highly recommend you check out this place before it gets too packed. Service was also amazing despite only being a week old.

I had a belated birthday/anniversary celebration here last night. It was my first time dining at Katana and the experience was incredible! Our server, Maxine, was extremely pleasant and attentive. The food was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I was even surprised with a lovely birthday dessert that was absolutely delicious! This is a now local favorite restaurant for me.
