I really enjoyed it. It’s a great place to try Indian food. They could use a little more attention to detail, like the glasses getting foggy and not clearing the dirty dishes from the table. Overall, I highly recommend it. I’ll be back to try other dishes.

18% Gratuity Added Automatically — Even for a Small Family Table
Visited a restaurant recently with 4 adults and 1 child, and an 18% service fee was automatically added to the bill without any prior notice or discussion.
This felt surprising considering the overall experience:
• Restroom was not clean
• Food quantity was quite small for the price
• Tawa Chicken was disappointing
• Biriyani portion was very limited
We walked in hungry and unfortunately walked out still feeling hungry due to the portion size relative to the price.
When 18% is automatically added, it essentially assumes good service by default, which did not match the experience in this case.
For context, the typical tipping standards in the U.S. are:

Delicious food and friendly service, they were out of the eggplant dish we wanted but ensured we found a well suited replacement and honestly I’m convinced it was more delicious that what the eggplant dish would have been. We’ll definitely be back!

Kasturi is truly excellent. Attentive service, wonderful food, great atmosphere. The whole place is decorated with attention to detail, and has really good vibes. Truly feels like a spot just waiting to go viral. Visiting from Texas, and will definitely be back when I’m in town!

Food was ok. We had the paneer tikka, garlic naan, manchurian, bhel, and aloo papri chaat. The only dish we enjoyed was the Manchurian. The paneer was tough in texture. Chaat items were ok in taste.
Service was ok as well. They were friendly. We were a group of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). They did not provide water or plates/utensils for our kids until we asked for them (water was brought out for adults without asking which was great).
Restaurant was clean and nice from the inside. Nice decor.

Food really wakes up the palate. Everything we had was full of spice and packed with flavor. Our waiter was attentive. We were here for lunch around 12 midweek, and it was not busy at all. Love the decor and lighting. Will definitely return.
