My only complaint was that it was quite loud last time we went! Could not hear the conversation at our own table. They also did not cook my salmon properly and it was still raw after sending it back twice and many apologies from the kitchen. Every other time has been superb.
I had the katsu don with pork and it was huge and super tasty. It comes with egg and when I tell you there was so much egg, it was soooo good. My bf got the Kasai roll which was also very good he said.
My only complaint is that we ordered the lava cake and when the bill came, there was an extra $5 for barely 2 scoops of ice cream. We were not told that ice cream is an extra charge and $5 is an excessive charge for that.
But the interior is really nice, super clean and lots of seating. The staff here is also very nice.
I was incredibly impressed with the level of care we received. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. I would highly recommend this establishment based on the service alone.
The service that you will receive at this restaurant is consistently great, our favorite server is by far Karsen. She is always a delight and greets you with a smile. She knows the menu and can help steer you in the right direction if you’re having difficulty deciding.
Over all between the food preparation to the level of service it’s a 10/10 for me!
Our party ordered the cucumber salad, fried pork gyoza, and agedashi tofu to share. The cucumber salad was heavy on the vinegar and heat but lacked other flavors—I’m used to and prefer it to be garlicky and full-bodied. The pork gyoza was fine… nothing to note. The agedashi tofu was the sweetest I’ve ever had, and not as crispy as I’m accustomed to. It was deliciously soft on the inside, though.
My main course was the Double Salmon Roll. It was extremely just okay. First of all, the sushi rice was slightly gummy (overcooked?), and it really affected the texture. Maybe I’m just sensitive, IDK. But the kicker is how bland it was. I am normally a plain, saucless roll enjoyer. But the Double Salmon is basically devoid of any flavor… it tasted like eating plain sushi rice. Dunking in soy sauce only goes so far. I found myself drawn to the ginger on my plate more than the sushi.
Others in my party really enjoyed the entrees they ordered—a signature roll and a teriyaki chicken bowl, respectively. It’s likely that I just ordered a “bad” entree. Still, it makes me wary of their extensive menu, as I’m not sure that everything offered is good.
Other than the food, the experience was fine. Our server was very attentive, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable.
What is wrong with the people taking orders here? I called to takeout vegan fried rice and explained I only need veggies and tofu. I drove 20 mins back and forth to this place and came back to my office to have lunch only to open that the rice have eggs in them. I called them to complain and they didn’t even apologize, they just said the manager is not there and you can call again later to get a refund. How ridiculous is that? There is no restaurant near my office and I wasted my lunch hour and money.
