When I walked in the door, I already knew I’d be impressed and satisfied. This is a true Japanese experience with carefully sourced food and particularly fish. Mimi the owner is so kind, energetic, and funny! Sit at the bar if you’d like to have a fun cultural experience or under the indoor Japanese umbrellas where you can enjoy Sake and people watch. Definitely a hidden gem! My new favorite sushi bar.

Fantastic meal! They offer a warm Yuzu citrus beverage that is quite delicious. Seaweed salad was good. The udon noodle soup can be prepared with vegetables or seafood. I chose the slightly spicy version that added to the flavor. Their salmon steak was scrumptious! The salmon is actually the same type used for sushi as our server explained. I’ll be returning to Kasa!

Excellent quality fish, limited but workable GF options for my wife, nice ambiance, would love to go back. Had some tuna and salmon specials, yuzu drink, small salad, kasa boy roll, and edamame which were all excellent.

Great food, attentive service, and a really nice open, clean atmosphere. The yuzu-cha was a great start to the meal on a chilly, drizzly day, and the sweet, resiny citrus was a perfect accompaniment to a hamachi jalepeno sashimi special we ordered to kick off the meal. The agedashi tofu and softshell crab both had the perfect light & crisp exterior, and the udon soups were hearty and filling without being a gut-bomb.

Beautiful plates. Wonderful ambience. I would avoid eating here on Sundays. The fish was not the freshest. And at their price range you expect extra care in the preparation of the fish to not serve anything that is borderline. Definitely avoid any specials especially on Sundays. Very convenient location and friendly staff.

DON’T GO HERE!!!!! KASA is a full on tourist trap right in the middle of Boulder. The actual prices are much higher than the menus available online. Some of the most exorbitant prices for lackluster sushi I’ve ever seen. I am thoroughly confused about any positive ratings that this restaurant may have received, especially recently. Had to go finish dinner at another restaurant.

My wife and I stopped at this place during a Jewish festival held nearby in the downtown. It was a pleasantly enjoyable stop.
The foods were unique and delicious. The bathroom was surprisingly luxurious, as well as the general theme and decor of the place. The service was excellent.
I’d only caution the new visitor about the prices on the menu. It wasn’t a cheap meal, but it also wasn’t ridiculously priced given the typical costs of sushi.
All in all, a delightful and enjoyable stop. I’d definitely recommend this place to whomever has a taste for sushi or is interested in exotic foods.

The sushi here is amazing and reminds me of my time in Japan. The takoyaki is by far better than any I had in Japan.

This is by far the best sushi in boulder. I have been going here for over ten years now. The prices may be high but they reflect the quality! It is the best! Also, the owners are so sweet and wonderful. I’m always happy with my experience there.
