At last, we went for the most delicious lunch today. The samosa chaat was a lovely starter for me and it looked beautiful too.
For mains we had Goan fish curry and a prawn dish. Equally both lovely.

Stumbled on this diamond whilst working in the area. I was the first in at 6.30pm and within half an hour another 9 people had half filled the pleasant restaurant. A party of 3 had booked.
Very friendly and the service was exemplary.
I ordered the mixed grill and was overwhelmed with the plate that arrived sizzling and smoking as it should.
It tasted devine and ticked all the boxes. I was unable to finish eating my food but took the remaining chunks of beautifully marinaded meat and my garlic nan in a take away box for lunch the following day.
I will be back when I return to the area with all my work colleagues who appreciate excellent food, a pleasant environment with well mannered service.

We just ordered take away from here and the service was AMAZING, the owner (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name ) has the warmest energy we were smiling the entire time we were in there waiting for our food. And the FOOD is phenomenal, the chicken korma was our absolute favourite. Will 100% be our new local spot

Had a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant! We mostly enjoyed their chaat items and loved the flavors. The Samosa Chaat and Samosa were delicious and perfectly spiced, while the Dahi Puri and Pani Puri were absolute standouts – crisp, tangy, and fresh.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience was warm and inviting. The Vada Pav could have been a touch better, but overall the food was delightful and the pricing very reasonable. Definitely worth visiting if you’re craving authentic Indian street food in a comfortable setting!

I recently visited Gloucester Karoos restaurant and tried a combination of Veg Chilli Paneer, Garlic Naan, and Punjabi Samosa — and the experience was absolutely delightful!
The food was flavourful, well-prepared, and felt true to authentic Indian cuisine. Portion sizes were reasonable and service was quick. Definitely a great place for anyone craving bold Indian flavours, especially fans of paneer and classic snacks.

We had a great time at Kartoos! The food was super tasty – full of flavour and just like real Indian street food. The place looks really nice inside, with a fun and cosy feel. We booked the entire Kartoos Restaurant for my 24th birthday bash for 40 people, and it was EPIC! The owners were super sweet and so accommodating, and the service was spot on. The buffet was absolutely delicious—everyone loved it, and the prices were really good too! Tables and chairs were perfectly set up, and we even ended the night with a full-on dance party. Big thumbs up for an unforgettable celebration!

Staff were friendly and were on point with service, especially getting payment sorted so we can leave when we want, which is always welcome. Not sure about the breath refresher but it was something different and authentic!
Will definitely come back, nice to have a sit in Indian restaurant that is local and good quality, and reasonably priced!

We really enjoyed our evening meal today. The food was so delicious and flavourful. I usually don’t find many Gluten free options while eating out so was really pleased with the choices. We ordered chaat, Dosa, chicken and paneer curry. All were tasty and generous portions. Chaat and masala dosa were our favourite.
Love the decoration of the restaurant and lighting. It is very bright and airy. Staff is polite and friendly. I would be happy to recommend. Thanks for lovely experience!

My wife and I and another couple ate at Kartoo this evening and it was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last.
We each had a different meal, my personal choice was Chicken chaat starter and chicken biryani as main. My wife has samosa chaat and chicken masala for main.
It’s obvious the food is all freshly prepared and cooked on site beautifully presented and really tasty, this is a first for me as regards street food and I would definitely recommend it.
Great friendly service with a nice personal touch, the chef herself came to ask how we enjoyed our meal and we all had nothing but praise.
A great meal and very fairly priced, we’ll be back and soon
