Anna and her mom were absolutely amazing!!!!! Not only did they design our wedding cake, but they saved us with our floral arrangements!! We live in Vegas and we were planning to have our boutonnière and bouquet arranged in Sedona upon our arrival. It didn’t go as planned, so our dearest Anna and her mom came to the rescue! She even went as far as hand-picking our flowers at an organic floral shop. They handled our wedding with such care and eloquence. I’m truly grateful for them and our gluten free/dairy free cake was amazing! My husband and I truly love you ladies and will continue to support your shop! May God bless you with great fortune and success!

This is a must for any one who needs gluten free. This is the best gluten free food and dessert I have ever had. To be honest, I thought the desert was better than the gluten version. I do not have any dietary restrictions, but my friend has celiac so this was the perfect place for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast and lunch were both good. We went there 3 times in 2 days.

They made the best cake I’ve ever seen for a winter solstice party. Plus, it was a vegan and gluten-free carrot cake! Everyone was totally delighted! Highly recommend!!!

Karen’s Gluten Free Bakeshop absolutely saved our wedding.
My original baker canceled on Monday for a Wednesday wedding, and I walked into Karen’s on Wednesday afternoon hoping for a miracle. Not only did they come through — they delivered something far beyond what I expected.
They created a luxurious, elegant, grand wedding cake on almost no notice. The design looked royal, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was outstanding. The gluten-free guests didn’t even realize it was gluten-free — that’s how good it was. The chocolate was my personal favorite: rich, smooth, and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had.
What stood out even more was their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help during a stressful moment. They treated us with care, communicated clearly, and delivered quality that felt custom and high-end. And the pricing was very reasonable and affordable, especially for the level of work they put in.
We’re incredibly thankful and appreciative.
If you need a dependable bakery — especially gluten-free — this is the place.
Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my visit to Karen’s Gluten Free Bakeshop. The ambiance was welcoming, and you can tell that families and children are more than welcome in this space. The woman who served and made our food is very knowledgable and passionate about her product, and I’m happy I came with my friend and stopped by and tried her delicious food. I bought the chicken sandwich and the Super Berry Smoothie, which was perfect for me and my appetite. She looked and sounded like the owner, and I’m gratefuly to have met her. She will definitely see me again in the near future. Thank you for the GF sourdough bread you made, it was delicious and I want more!! I recommend this place to everyone, please do stop by and have a taste of her gluten-free creations!

Super disappointed. Cute shop that I happened into when friends went to a nearby coffee shop. I was gleeful when she told me everything was gluten free. I chose a chocolate donut and a carrot cake cupcake. I joined my group in the car and according to them, my level of excitement was evident. Hands down the baked goods were the worst gf items I have ever purchased in a bakery. Im not sure if they were old, or that is the normal quality, but they were literally inedible. And, I am not known to not eat a sweet! A couple of the ladies I was with tasted just to double check my reaction and they concurred. A total waste of $12 or so dollars. The shop appeared popular and the person working was friendly. Makes me sad if this is the gf standard they are used to or have to settle for. Later in the weekend I tried a gf carrot cake muffin at another coffee shop in Sedona, and it was AMAZING!

Let me tell you, I stumbled upon a gem in Karen’s Gluten-Free Shop, and it’s a game-changer, whether you’re gluten-free or not! My first visit was all about their cinnamon roll, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve EVER had. The dough was incredibly soft and perfectly chewy, swirled with a generous and fragrant cinnamon filling that wasn’t overly sweet. The glaze? A dreamy, creamy perfection. I would have never guessed it was gluten-free – it tasted like a classic, expertly made cinnamon roll. Seriously blew me away.
So impressed was I that I had to go back the next day, and this time I went for their blueberry bars. I got two (because one just didn’t seem like enough!), and they were OUTSTANDING. Moist, tender, and absolutely packed with juicy blueberries. The texture was fantastic, and the balance of sweet berries with a subtle nutty undertone was spot on. Again, zero hint of that sometimes-dry texture you can find in gluten-free baked goods. These were simply delicious, satisfying treats.
Beyond the incredible food, the service at Karen’s is top-notch. The person behind the counter was so warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about their baking. It made the whole experience even better. The shop itself has a lovely, inviting atmosphere – you can tell they put care into everything they do.
Honestly, the fact that everything at Karen’s is gluten-free is almost beside the point. The food is just plain delicious. If you’re looking for incredible baked goods in a welcoming setting, you HAVE to check out Karen’s Gluten-Free Shop. My cinnamon roll and blueberry bars were highlights, and I can’t wait to go back and try more. Five stars all the way! You won’t be disappointed.

I am a global leader in women’s empowerment and local resident of Sedona. I had an out-of-town visitor and we decided to try Karen’s Bakeshop. It was such a delightful time!
Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted with kindness and care by the young woman (owner) at the register. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very safe. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting – the kind of place that makes one sit and savor every bite.
I loved the selection of baked goods: soft, textured dessert rolls, perfectly moist cupcakes, and fresh bread that has rich, authentic flavor! I had a pumpkin roll for dessert and it was divinely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You’d never guess they were gluten-free if you didn’t know! I also got a salmon sandwich, which was delicious, and one of their signature freshly-baked breads, which was rich and tasty. I can tell that the breads and baked goods are made with love and heart.
In short: this bakeshop is a gem. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, you’ll fall in love with the quality, care, and incredible taste of their baked goods. I’m already planning my next visit!

Edit: my second experience was terrible. The marketing online for “cookies” did not specify the “cookies” were sucker lollipops. We just assumed the center of the heart shaped cookies was cookie with some kind of icing. When the photos online showed them sitting on top of each other in the display case, that’s what I thought it was. Not a “sucker lollipop”. I had a family member drive 45 minutes to get them for me, and she didn’t really know what they were but got them anyways. I immediately called the location and after a lengthy phone call the woman offered to refund the $18 for the two cookies. I never received the refund so I attempted to call back 4 days later to find my phone number was blocked! So I had to call from another phone to reach someone, which was the owner. She stated she would give my info to this woman to get me refunded. I finally got a $17 refund which is fine, but the experience to get that refund was not ok. I have never had a business block my phone number to make it so I can’t call them. That is highly inappropriate and very unprofessional, considering I was very nice to the person on the other end of the phone (I have two witnesses that heard the conversation, as proof). Based on this experience and bad marketing that was misleading, I would not recommend this place. To spend that much on “cookies” that were only an outer shape of a heart is absurd. The cookies are not as good as many claim them to be either. I threw away a lot of food I bought the first time because it was dry and gritty. I wanted to love this place but after this second experience I will not come back. $8-$9 for a cookie is just wrong. There are many other dairy free gluten free cookies I buy elsewhere and they range from $3.50-$4.50 each. This location in Sedona has them completely overpriced for quality and taste.
I would recommend little product information cards to be placed in their displace cases so people can read what the items are and see the price up front. That would resolve a lot of these kinds of issues. Most dietary places do this, so people know the ingredients in the product and the price up front. I can honestly say the chalk board way up at the ceiling isn’t good for people with bad vision either. Just my own personal e experience. Everyone will have their own unique experiences here.
This bakery is a cool place. It has the fun Sedona vibe inside. It’s incredible how it’s all dairy free and gluten free. The presentation of the food items is truly incredible. My daughter had a tuna sandwich not photographed, that she said was the best she’s ever had. The bread was very soft and moist, unlike a lot of gluten free breads. The price is much higher though than similar places I’ve been too. It’s in a great location of Sedona for those who wish to visit, I just wish prices and product info was more transparent in the product display cases.

Today, I went in hoping to enjoy a nice gluten-free treat, but instead, I was met with complete rudeness. I had intended to dine in, but the unwelcoming atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable. Also, the baked goods are completely overpriced, and I wouldn’t even feed the peanut butter cookies to my dog.
