This place is the best place that I have ever eaten at. The staff are super friendly and make you feel like you’re at home. The food is out of this world and if they have the ingredients they will make you whatever you want. They have different specials everyday to suite the needs of all their customers, and not to mention the fresh baked cookies etc are amazing. If you walk in Kapteins without a smile on your face , you are sure gonna leave with one after you have experienced the atmosphere and the food. 10 out of 10 for sure.

Kaptein’s is the best Saturday morning / early afternoon spot! My husband gets the classic Chilly Lily and I get grilled chicken on Italian bread with lettuce, tomato, and raw onion and a side of bbq sauce. We get take out for lunch as often as we can and stopped into today to get our usual but also left with some free cookies for kindness that were so delicious. Also big thanks to Kaptein’s for taking care of uncle Paulie who stops in everyday.

Worse cheesecake I had. I ordered a regular cheesecake with just peppers, onions roast beef. I should have ordered a peppers and onion sandwich. That’s mostly what is was. I did not taste the love here. They should just use ribeye !

This is hands down the best sandwich place in Danbury. We regularly use them to cater lunches for client visits and company meetings, and the feedback is always overwhelmingly positive. The sandwiches are exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and generously prepared. The staff is consistently courteous, professional, and accommodating. Highly recommended for both casual meals and company meetings!

I just started working in the area and stopped in for lunch today for the first time. I had the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had in my life!!!!!!! Absolutely amazing. It was the “barne” sandwich I think was the name. Someone else commented on how they toast the bread to perfection and it’s so true lol
