We stopped here on a road trip to Illinois. This restaurant appeared to be family ran.
Not super clean and definitely not somewhere with an upscale atmosphere, but the waitress was friendly and the food was pretty good. We had omelets with hasbrowns and toast.

Great food and awesome service. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. My order was ready in no time. And go ahead and get a slice of pie. I was very impressed with the blueberry cheese cake.

Wife and I were craving a homemade burger and we found this place on Google Maps off the highway en route to KY and what do you know ?…this was a God-send…wow!! best burger we’ve had in decades…seasoned and cooked perfect!! We are long haul truckers, so we’re always looking for mom n pop places. We will be back!! Good job ladies..reasonable prices too

Stopped in while traveling and was pleasantly surprised. The food was all fresh made and HOT. All mighty tasty too. Fried chicken just right and the hamburger steak and onions was yummy. Fresh onion rings and a nice salad. I wish all our meals on the road were this good. Breakfast all day too if you want that. Bet its off the chart as well. Stop in and give her a try

Friendly folks. Good food. The reuben was delicious; omelette and hash browns were tasty. Patty melt was very good. Enjoyed the fried green beans and cauliflower. Very tasty. Outdoor patio is fun. For a 5 star, clean the bathroom better and look up (spider and cobwebs on the ceiling). Clean the trash off the patio and cut back the ivy creeping onto the floor. I realize locals don’t care when the food is good. Would I come back? Definitely. The food was good.

We turned around after we saw and missed the turn off to the dinner. And what a great choice that was! I had the BLT with tater tots and my friends had the 3-cheese burger with fried pickles – ALL was simply delicious and the price was right! Highly recommend to visit this diner!

Driving south on scenic hwy 19 we came across Kapp’s restaurant. My husband had the breakfast – served all day and I had the burger with pickle fries which were the highlight! A Mom and Pop establishment, very friendly, clean, affordable and great food!

Smaller place, so wait time can be a bit long if they get busy. But the food is worth it. Great tasting home cooked food. Large portions at a decent price. Staff was friendly and hard working A hidden gem, definitely worth the stop.
