Our group of six walked in without a reservation and were seated immediately — already a win for a sushi place on Sunday afternoon. The menu turned out to be surprisingly vegetarian-friendly, which was exactly what we needed. They were flexible with substitutions, even serving mushrooms and tofu on the side for one person who preferred to skip them.
We ordered the vegetable ramen and the soba noodles – both were comforting. The table also shared a sushi boat loaded with different rolls — some wrapped in rice paper instead of the usual nori.
We added spring rolls, regular and spicy edamame, and a few drinks. Their fresh pineapple and passionfruit juices were excellent, and the local beers were a fun way to try something from the area. Staff spoke English, were friendly, and kept the pace smooth without rushing us.
For six people, the total came to about $138, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. Overall, this is a great stop if you want easy service, flexible vegetarian choices, fresh rolls, and a satisfying noodles. Would definitely recommend before heading out for an evening adventure.

Wow. Some of the best sushi we’ve ever had! Honestly, I thought it was a bit odd coming to a sushi restaurant in Costa Rica and I’m not the biggest fan of sushi but OMG the sushi here is unbelievable. Don’t even think twice about coming here! We ordered a sushi boat with 3 rolls and 2 miso soups, which came to $32.50 with tax and service charge. You have 3 options for the sushi boat: 1) 3 rolls (10pcs per roll) of sushi and 2 nigiri, 2) 3 rolls and 2 miso soups or 3) 4 rolls. The crispy tofu (wife’s fave), crispy onion (my fave) and the spicy tofu (also incredible). The miso soups were disappointing to be honest, more like flavoured water without any miso flavour so could be missed and gone for either nigiri or another roll when ordering the boat. Fantastic place and will deffo come again!

This place was actually pretty good for La Fortunas food scene. I wouldn’t say it will top your good Sushi places in the USA but it was what we needed to get a change in food scene. They are very generous with the portions and are super vegetarian friendly. I wouldn’t say eat here again without question. They were super nice and made great food. 10/10!!

Incredible meal. Me and my boys came to eat, and they served us well! The boats were extremely affordable, as well as the appetizers; 40 sushi pieces for 30 bucks (USD). Everything tasted so incredibly good as well. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a good sushi meal.

Wow! Go here. Our server was super friendly and helpful. The vegan sushi was so delicious. Definitely some of the best vegan sushi I’ve had. We were a group of 8 and we got three sushi boats plus a few individual rolls and wine… it was a great dinner.

This place is okay. The prices for the sushi are incredible but the sushi doesn’t seem to be very high quality. I thought the rolls were decent nothing special but nothing wrong with them. However, my husband took a bite of one of them and could not keep it down, he said it taste not good. So if you’re looking for cheap sushi give it a shot but just keep in mind it’s probably cheap for a reason. The service was good.
