Been going to Kaomungai for a while now for some solid Hainan chicken and fried chicken. It was a Saturday morning and I was looking for a takeout option and kept this store in mind. For ordering, I visited their website, browsed the menu, and then placed my order. The website accepted Apple Pay, so that was convenient for mobile ordering. There’s also photos for anyone that prefers visuals.
I got (1) poached dark meat chicken over rice and (1) fried chicken over rice. Quality of food remains good and consistent. Portion size was more than enough to share among two people. They are also generous with their sauce selection and included spicy bean, spicy, sweet & spicy, and ginger scallion available. Pickles and soup were also provided and all nearly packed in the containers.
This order was placed right around when the store opened. I went to pick it up and they had everything ready upon mentioning my name.

I had to make a review right away. If you like Hainan chicken, this place is GOOD. Note that this is Thai owned, but it is even better because there are extra dipping sauces that you don’t usually get in Chinese Hainan Chicken.
We tried the Dark meat with rices the half fried, half chicken, and the curry. I was quite surprised as the curry tasted like Japanese curry, but it was great. The rice had flavor, wasn’t too oily, chicken was tender, and the fried chicken was crispy. I can’t really expect anything more, the portion was very generous as well! Each of the dishes even came with a soup! The pickled Vegetables were also very good, not too sweet or sour. The brown dipping sauce was my favorite, it came packed with spiciness but not too much, just right.
Glad I was able to find this on Yelp, and give it a try and agree with the others. The menu selection isn’t huge at all, and I like that this is their speciality. Can’t wait to come back soon, until next time!

Food was affordable and good just passing through but we were very satisfied! Staff was incredibly friendly and it was quite clean. Overall great experience highly recommend if you like chicken!

Small place with dine in or take out option. I tried the dark meat over rice with all of the sauces to try. Absolutely delicious. Great little spot in Glendora! My wife and I usually order takeout whenever we take a break from making dinner, and their Hainan chicken combo always delivers. They offer generous portions at reasonable prices and are very friendly. Highly recommend.

If you’re tired of the old local Thai and Chinese food options in the area, this is a delicious new alternative. The hainan chicken dish is cooked to perfection and served with refreshing flavors of sauces. The staff are friendly and kind. My husband and I are definitely coming back for more.

We visit KaoMunGai about once a week for takeout, and it’s a total lifesaver. My 2 yr old is obsessed with their chicken thigh (dark meat) and rice. Even without the sauce, the food is so flavorful and tender that he clears his plate every time. Consistently delicious and perfect for a quick, healthy family meal!
