Reviews
Arrived at 5:25 PM on a Tuesday night with no tables available upon arrival, so we opted ordered takeout: pad see ew, pumpkin curry, and fresh spring rolls. Rica took the order, estimating 20-25 minutes; we left at 5:46 PM and returned at 6:07 PM.
Phnom asked for my name to check on our food at 6:12pm but never got back to us. Checking in again at 6:23 PM, Rica said the noodles and curry were ready, just waiting on spring rolls. At 6:40 PM, I asked Phnom to cancel the rolls and refund the tip. He gave a receipt saying it was removed, but no, only the spring rolls had been removed, the tip was still there. Going back led to confusion, with manager Mo first accusing non-payment despite Rica confirming the original order from over an hour earlier.
Phnom had refunded the full bill by accident; Mo apologized a lot, comped the two mains, and said no need to repay. Spring rolls went to later customers, showing bad prioritization.
Key Strengths:
– Mo stepped up with accountability.
Areas for Improvement:
– Takeout took over 75 minutes while dine-in got priority.
– Fix tip refunds and accuracy, other reviews mention similar slips.
– Improve communication between staff and kitchen on apps like spring rolls.
Recommendation: Try Thai Heart nearby instead.
Highly recommend!
pad kee mao/drunken noodles: wide rice noodles were seriously overcooked, mushy. grave sin for a thai restaurant. ordered on wednesday night so maybe keep in mind that there’s a bad cook that night? tough for me ever to justify ordering from here again based on this
bbq chicken: ample food (1/2 chicken!), but sadly pretty dry and overcooked. provided sauce is too thin to be any help
papaya salad: good enough
fresh spring rolls: comically small. order of two looks like one small spring roll cut in half. good flavor, though
tom yum: spicy, sweet, fragrant. i liked this
