Such a lovely find!
The food here is delicious and even reminded me of home in Thailand. The décor is stylish with charming vintage touches, and I love how thoughtfully the Thai elements are presented throughout the space.
I came with my relatives, and every dish we tried was great. The flavors aren’t super intensely Thai, but they’re well-balanced and very enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
Service was amazing. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly sweet. It happened to be my birthday, and they surprised me by singing and bringing out a crème brûlée — and it was so good! Their kindness really made my day.
The atmosphere is calm, cozy, and not too crowded, which makes it a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
Highly recommend!

The menu at Kao Sarn has a large range of food options such as appetisers, salads, soups, curries, grilled items, seafood, noodles, and rice. The restaurant serves beer, wine, sodas, and authentic Thai Teas as well. We as a family dropped in at the Restaurant for dinner. Our order comprised of Soup, Pineapple Fried Rice, Red curry and desert: Ice cream and sticky rice. Miss not Thai Restaurant when near Richmond

We are staying at an Airbnb very close to this restaurant so we decided to walk down and give it a try since it had a 4.5. when we ordered our food we got really good service and we were happy until we received our food. Two out of three dishes tasted very old and the meat was rancid. All three dishes have very small portions as well. Obviously we did not eat the food and we’d left because we were afraid of getting sick. After we ordered the food it came in like 5 minutes. It was steaming hot and apparently it was microwaved. For $18 for a plate, you’d expect to get a pretty good portion of fresh food. Very disappointing.

This is a cute little spot in PT Richmond. I have come here a few times and have always had a good meal and their portions are fair.
They close at 8:30 but still took us in at 8:20, which we really appreciated. One of the reasons we like this place is because they can prepare most items GF.
We ordered 2 Thai Iced Teas, Papaya Salad (Laous style) (but I have also gotten the Thai style), Green Curry with Shrimp and String Beans with Shrimp. For dessert we ordered the coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice.
In the past I have ordered the Tamarind Prawns, some sort of fried ribs, angle wings, Tom Kha and the Pumpkin Curry. All items I enjoyed, except for the ribs. They just weren’t for me.
I have also been here once for lunch and they do have lunch specials which is nice. If you happen to be around the area, definitely stop in and get some grub!

We enjoyed a great lunch. Very fresh food. I enjoyed the daily special which was avocado seafood dish. My colleagues enjoyed lunch specials. Everything here is fresh, service is quick and prices reasonable. This was not my first time here and won’t be my last time.

Delicious! I ordered fried rice and asked for it vegetarian even though that’s not specifically on the menu. They added tofu and extra veggies! It was amazing! Lots of good fresh vegetables!

I love their garlic noodles special with steak, my partner loves their pad see ew, and today I tried the chicken dumplings in curry sauce app + the duck fried rice. Phenomenal flavors! The folks here are very chill, sweet and add to an already lovable and atmospheric local spot (pleasant background music too. Tonight had classic easy rock perfect for a rainy night). Come here for date night or solo for a glass of cab (a generous pour I’ll add!), you won’t be disappointed. Love it here.

Friendly and quick service…pad thai was a little too sweet and saucy and fried prawn rolls were ok but didn’t taste fresh

They serve a favourite of mine – oxtail soup. I don’t mind making it myself but it is not something I can just “whip up”, so when I have a sudden craving I get it to go, mainly because I look undignified gnawing at the bones while I’m eating, lol. The portions are generous so I know I’m not going to finish in one sitting. The sour flavour of the broth is not overpowering and slightly reminiscent of a Filipino sinigang. The Thai version is slightly sweet so it is a happy, delicious compromise. Comes with a side salad, too.
