KAO GANG THAI FOOD is a great find for anyone looking for authentic Thai food without the high price tag.
We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night and found the restaurant comfortably busy, but still with open seating. It’s a smaller space with warm lighting and cozy décor, giving it a relaxed, intimate feel that works best for date nights or small groups rather than large parties.
Service was excellent. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to walk through ingredients and recommendations.
We ordered the chicken pad thai and the street fried rice, both of which were outstanding. The flavors were bold, well-balanced, and tasted very authentic. Portions were satisfying, and pricing felt very fair — about $10–$20 per person depending on what you order.
They also offer five spice levels, which is great for people who enjoy heat. Even at the spicier levels, the dishes remained flavorful and enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
One of the staff members mentioned that during the daytime they prepare more Thai street food items, which definitely gives me a reason to come back and explore more of the menu.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is truly authentic. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted just like real Thai food. Great value for the quality. Will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely authentic Thai food! Every bite truly took me back to Thailand — the flavors were rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and cook everything properly. The service was top-notch; the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Prices are very reasonable for the generous portions, and the quality is outstanding for what you pay. The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere as well. This is definitely one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried in the area. I will absolutely be coming back!

We had the fried rice, pad thai, thai style papaya and chicken wings. The flavors were good on all the dishes. I especially liked that the fried rice had bits of Chinese broccoli. I do wish the chicken wings had just a little more salt but it wasn’t a big issue because the dipping sauce that came with it was good. Service was great. Staff were friendly and we were checked on several times while there. The space was well designed and clean. I recommend this place if you’re craving Thai food. It fulfilled my cravings.

Based on reviews, I was really excited about this place. I was very close to giving a 3 star review based on food. Their chicken was very slimy and looked questionable at times.
They didn’t have their full menu yet, so a little limited on options. Loved their Thai Tea glassware.
I might give it another try in a few months based on other reviews/full menu.

Authentic Thai food with a menu featuring all my favorites! Everything had great flavors. Highly recommend, especially the thai hainan chicken that comes with broth.
Faves: hainanese chicken, chicken noodle soup, khao soi, spicy thai basil with pork, phad see ew, tom yum

Just recently opened and a must go to for authentic Thai . This is definitely a hidden gem. On this initial visit, I tried a couple of items off their menu. I chose these for its popularity when people think of Thai, one thinks of Pad Thai. Found both Pad Thai and Papaya Salad full of flavor and so delicious. Definitely would recommend even to those who are well versed in Thai cooking. Great job!

There’s a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including many that you don’t usually find at typical Thai restaurants.
