A decent spot for Japanese dinner overall. The food starts off promising—especially the appetizers and sushi—but the experience changes once you move to the grill seating. While it’s fun to watch the chef cook right in front of you and engage in a bit of playful interaction with the food, the flavors at the grill tend to resemble more generic Asian cuisine rather than authentic Japanese. Still, it’s a lively and entertaining experience.

On a business trip and this was my 1st time experiencing this style of cooking. The staff was really nice. Rice, salad, soup and veggies were very good but my chicken and shrimp were overcooked so it was tough and chewy. Thank you for the experience.

I didn’t have to wait long at all to be seated they came right out and sat me immediately. My waitress was very attentive and did a great job checking on me throughout my visit. The only reason I gave three stars for atmosphere is because I don’t really like when all the servers sit together at a table by the door with their friends. That said, my waitress still went above and beyond and even took the time to explain which sushi roll was which so I could remember them for next time. The sushi rolls were made to perfection and were very delicious. I will definitely be back for more sushi.

Xavier was our server and did an awesome job. Very prompt and very professional.

Food was great. We ordered soup, edamame, 2 sushi rolls. (Angry Wife & Red Bull Roll)

Would have taken a picture but we ate the food so fast.

Great price for the amount of food.

Overall great experience

The food was honestly standard, and really over-priced. Maybe it was just what I ordered, but the quality didn’t match the price. Their menu was pretty confusing and everything was just so dimly lit. Staff were fantastic and very helpful, so if you go, expect okay to good food with great staff at least! Just an example of the price, the chef’s special is A HUNDRED DOLLARS, and majority of stuff wasn’t below 35 dollars. Could have been an off day given it was a holiday (Valentines Day), but overall I personally wasn’t the biggest fan.

We sat at the booth and Overpriced for the overall quality. $75.00 for two. Sweet tea was made with tap water but ice was not tap water ….under staffed …waitresses do not have time and the tables were not cleaned when we first sat down from previous customers. The salad was stale. Soup was good. Also less entree’ and five times the white rice amount. Next time it’s GINZA or SAKURA 17

Dressing and yum yum sauce was runny like water and tasted like straight mayonnaise. Our miso soup was very concentrated and would burn your mouth if you didn’t eat the salad first. We ordered salmon and new york hibachi, 1 water, 1 sweet tea for 70$. Absolutely outrageous. We expected quality food at 29$ and $31 each plate, but instead got a handful of unseasoned veggies cut into massive chunks, ‘steamed’ rice because fried rice was an extra $2, and i might have gotten 1/4 of the origional steak cut which i asked for med well, some chunks were well done, a few peices were medium rare. I wouldnt come eat here again if you paid me 10mil. I can not beileve people in this area pay these prices for such BAD quality food. SO glad we did not order sushi.
The only good things: Our waitress was attentive, and food came out quick.

Food is always great. Definitely higher priced than other Japanese options in town. They charge for everything. A side of sauce. Extra veggies versus rice. Etc. They halve their scallops horizontally but think you don’t know that. Either that or they’re the thinnest scallops I’ve ever seen. You definitely pay premium for the food you get, but it is also very good. Just fix the scallops

I had high hopes about this restaurant after my friends bragged on how good it was. Don’t get me wrong, the food wasn’t horrible, it was really overpriced for the quality and taste of the food.

We all have our favorite places to eat and compare similar places to our favorites. This one didn’t even come close to the flavor or quality of my favorite hibachi in Louisville. I rated this 2 out of 5 not on the food alone, like I said, it was just alright. What knocked this down from 4 to 2 start was the wait time from getting seated to our chef to actually come and cook. It literally took 55 minutes from being seated until he came and started the meal. At least he was entertaining though.

Yea, I know, staffing issues. Once he started cooking NO ONE came around asking of we needed anything like, you know, more drinks.

We won’t be going back.
