LOVED THEM. Came in with a huge party (13 adults) for such a small place and they accommodated us very well. Best service I’ve had with such a small staff. Gave great local recommendations as well.

Went with my wife for our anniversary. The food is expensive compared to other similar places, but it is by far the best Asian food I’ve had in a long time. You really get what you pay for. It was all delicious, from the appetisers to the entrees. My only regret is not being able to eat more. Again yes it is expensive, but I eagerly await the next time we go.

Hands down the BEST place in Charleston to get sushi. You can’t go wrong with any of Chef Annie’s Korean dishes, and Chef Sean always has something interesting and new to try on his Sashimi and Nigiri menu. Don’t come to eat here if you are in a rush. Sean and Annie want you to relax and enjoy their food, their art that they make for you. Here, you are treated like family. Go to Kanpai!!

We came here with our three kids for dinner at 5:30pm on a Friday. There was no one in the restaurant. He asked if we had a reservation, and we said no. We were told that without reservation, there is a 25% additional fee. He also said they don’t offer a kids menu, presuming that my kids don’t eat sushi. I asked if all their tables were reserved and if walk ins are not allowed. He said, well it’s a Friday, so we expect more people. He didn’t offer to sit us. We turned around and left.

I feel that there are better sushi options in town at this price point. The sushi was fine, nothing spectacular though. I thought it was expensive, especially for some of the more simple rolls. The service was not very good either. Although the waitress was friendly, she was slow in taking our orders and refilling drinks. The appetizer I ordered came out after our entree had been brought out, and only then because I asked about it. I would have expected them to comp the $4 appetizer because that is what I would have done if it were my table, but that was not done. This is a small restaurant and there were only a few other tables besides our own, so there was really no good excuse for the slow service. There was nothing about this place that made me want to walk out, but there was also nothing about it that would make me recommend it to a friend.

The sushi was delicious and the Scottish and Norwegian salmon Nigiri were wonderful. This is an expensive place but I found the sushi sampler to be very good value.

Had dinner with my husband and toddler last night. Everything was delicious! I got the duck confit bun as an appetizer – it melted in my mouth . For our meals. My husband got the bogolgi, I got the fire cracker, and my son got the scallion pancake. We ALL cleaned our plates. And its BYOB – cant get any better than that. This is our new family favorite!
