Top-Tier Japanese Buffet in Irvine! Eat Until You Can Barely Walk
Who gets it?! I was wandering around Irvine and stumbled upon Kanji Sushi—it totally blew my mind about what an “all-you-can-eat” experience could be! The sashimi is so fresh it could make you tear up, the sushi rolls are stuffed so full of fillings they spill out, and all the hot dishes and snacks are on point too. The value for money is unbeatable!

Amazing sushi spot! For only $39.95 per person for dinner, it’s an incredible deal. I really appreciated how they don’t overload the nigiri with rice, giving a much better fish-to-rice ratio. The quality of the food was outstanding—some of the best AYCE sushi I’ve had in a while. Service was good too. Highly recommend!

The four of us came to dine at this restaurant. When we were ready to pay, the staff warned us that this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant and that we needed to finish all our food before checking out.
As shown in the photos, we only left a few pieces of sushi. We had ordered just one roll of each of these three flavors—not multiple portions. We simply didn’t finish them because they didn’t suit our taste.
We were warned twice, which made us feel very uncomfortable and even offended. Everyone has different preferences, and not finishing a dish doesn’t mean we wasted food or over-ordered on purpose. We hope the restaurant can be more flexible and respectful of customers’ tastes, rather than enforcing a strict “finish everything or it’s considered waste” rule.

Friendly service, great sushi etc. Have never seen the fish 3x larger than the rice under it on sushi at any restaurant we’ve been to. Ramen & udon portions are bigger than what you would expect. If there was some sort of dessert included in the AYCE, would have been better.

While looking for an AYCE place, my friend stumbled upon this little gem. It could be a limited-time promo, but we got the dinner AYCE for $30/pp. (We asked the owner and that’s also the price on wknd evenings also!) It was an incredible deal! You get a set menu to choose from, and order up to 3 times. We were done by our second order. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the sushi is fresh with generous portions. I’d definitely come back again.

I’m giving five stars because the service and food were great!
We came in with a party of 12. It would have been nice to have us all sitting at one long table. Since the establishment has a long bench across the back wall, it was definitely doable. I had a frustrating discussion with one of the employees, presumably a manager, who was only willing to give us a maximum seating of eight people per table, meaning that we had eight people at one table and four people at another table. Not ideal for a party, but not the end of the world either.
Once we sat down, our server was very friendly and energetic The value for the AYCE menu was very good. Other than the seating arrangements, I have no complaints. Thanks for a great time!

We went there for my daughter’s 25th birthday and wanted to try a new place..she always wants we usually go to a local place, but this one was about 20 minutes away but we’ll worth the drive. Staff was very friendly and served us very quickly. We did all you can eat lunch, very reasonable but next time we will order less the 1st time, you get 3 times to order. Everything was fantastic. Coming back for sure. Thank you

Great AYCE sushi place in Lake Forest area. It’s only $34.95 for lunch and they have a great selection of sushi, hand rolls, and even ramen. I like how they don’t give to huge rice portions for the nigiri so you get a better fish the rice ratio.
