The fish here was really fresh. My wife and I enjoyed the catfish nuggets and fried shrimp. The blackened snapper tasted a little off but we’ve never had blackened snapper. The server immediately gave us half off when we told her. I would definitely go back to this place. This place just opened and is already on its way to making a positive impact in this community. Good job guys!

Went yesterday (28 June 2023), on their first official night of being open. They’re menu isn’t busy but does indeed have enough to catch your eye and not overwhelm you. Their drink menu (didn’t take a picture of it), Is pretty good, bourbon bar so lots of bourbon. Had a server by the name of Jennifer who was just the sweetest woman possible. Look forward to the next time!

When I try a new restaurant I love to get a sampling of appetizers. We enjoyed oysters, oysters Rockefeller, seafood chowder, and crab cakes. My husband had the jambalaya which had a very good flavor. For dessert I had a piece of the bourbon pecan pie which came out cold. It probably would of been better being closer to room temperature. I really enjoyed the decor and love the cozy booths. Good jazz music playing in the background. Almost took me back to Bourbon Stree!

Absolutely a gem of a place. My wife and I had the Pork Belly Bites and Alligator for appetizers and shared the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. All were fantastic and tasty. Our server Dina was a delight and helped explain our dishes to us with great detail. Chef Marc presents a truly wonderful plate. Take a chance on a new place and you’ll be happy you did.

Opening night. The Cajun/Bayou atmosphere in the restaurant is so cool! Service was great, food was great (we had the deviled eggs, fresh chilled oysters, seafood chowder, and the Nola Smothered Steak). The cornbread is FANTASTIC! Tiffany made a few OUTSTANDING cocktails. We’ll be back!

We just left the restaurant. The waitress was friendly and accommodating, although she was not attentive. My husband had the jambalaya which only had one crawfish and a small amount of andouille sausage. I had the red snapper, Brussels sprouts and roasted red potatoes. The snapper was rubbery, the potatoes were edible and the Brussels sprouts were barely cooked with too much seasoning. I asked if I could have the snapper with little seasoning. The waitress said it was already preseason which tells me it was not fresh. I should’ve ordered it. They have a great selection of wines and bourbons if that’s your style.

Oysters Rockefeller were good. No complaints on freshness. But Alfredo sauce is not supposed to be the consistency of broth. The menu is very vague as far as explaining what your getting. wish I would have went to Culver’s. Also wallet was whimpering as I left the restaurant.

The prime rib looked awesome but was not even warm, and the crawdad pot was way too salty. Kanes has only been open a week, so based on the quality of food at the other restaurants, we’ll give it another try in a couple of months. On the positive side, the server did her best to remedy the problems but we didn’t want to wait for another meal.

We stopped by on Friday around 4:30 for an early dinner and were seated inside, outdoor area looked great also. Loved the atmosphere and our server was the best, Adrian. We had Gumbo with cornbread as an appetizer that was delicious and loved the right amount of heat from the andouille sausage with cornbread in the bowl. We both ordered Shrimp poboys that were heaped with dusted sautéed or fried shrimp that tasted great on a soft bun with tomato, pickled red onions and a nice chipotle mayo. Served with crispy spiced fries. The special

Lobster was undercooked and seemed to be of low quality. Grits were bland. Waitress was friendly but not attentive at all. Waited a long time for initial drinks and a refill. They are new so will give it another try in a couple of months and update review accordingly.
