The food was really good. The only comment my fiance had was the salmon skin was a bit more crunchy than normal but the rest of the food was great. The atmosphere and service was great too. My advice is to keep the supplies in the back out of view. I enjoyed the waitress we had.

This location is by far the most authentic when it comes to sushi and environment. These guys aren’t trying to be the best, all they care about is the freshness. And making sure people get that experience of sushi in California. It’s a great hole in the wall and mom and Pop. Birthday are covered for desserts and they accept military discount.

They updated their menu and haven’t updated the one online yet. The new menu has different items and different prices than before.
I wound up spending a bit more than I had planned or wanted to for a quick lunch but the owner was kind enough to give me a complementary miso soup for the inconvenience.
I think the direction they are trying to go is a bit more sophisticated with food that can really showcase the Chef’s skills and training.
I didn’t notice it till I was writing this review, but the new menu has a different name on it, so maybe they are changing the name of the restaurant? I don’t know. I hope it works out. Everything sounded delicious.

Stopped for sushi at lunchtime. Plenty of seating and staff is pleasant. Food was quick and delicious. Pickled ginger and Spicy Miso 10/10

I absolutely love this little hole-in-the-wall from the outside it doesn’t seem like much but when you walk in it’s pretty it’s clean it’s inviting and you are always greeted by the sushi chefs. My honey and I come here all the time and order the same thing. The owner already knows what beer we want what sake we want what rolls we want. There is nothing like a little spot that knows you and always produces quality consistent fresh delicious food. If you’re a big eater which we aren’t they have an all-you-can-eat option we tried that once we could barely walk out

I tried this place on a whim because of all the positive reviews but it was pretty disappointing overall. Online ordering and pickup process was very easy but the food was just OK. The fish didn’t taste very fresh (except the salmon) and the rice in both my sushi and chirashi bowl was hard, cold and over-vinegared (and I like vinegar!). The only thing I liked was the seaweed salad. Maybe their ramen and/or rolls are better?

It is among the most hidden (or not-so-hidden, in this case) gems in Oceanside, bar none. The atmosphere is happy and laid back, and the food is tasty! Families, sushi lovers, and casual diners alike, this one is for you!

Their yellowtail is great, but their salmon and tuna leave much to be desired. Also, the wasabi was so old it was practically powder. Good service, though.
