Everything in there was clean, especially the bathrooms! The sushi was delcious, and made fresh. It was a quiet place to eat on a Tuesday night, where you can enjoy the football game on the tv and have good conversation. They didn’t have the bottled lemonade when we went, but the can was a good option. We forgot to ask for sriracha, but forgot because they didn’t have them set out on the tables. I recommend the sushi roll with the baked scallops. It was delicious.

I’ve been eating at Sushi Bars for over 28 years. Kampai Sushi would rate among my top 10 Shushi Bars in all of Arizona. Truthfully I haven’t had fish that fresh in probably 15 years. Every piece of sushi I had melted in my mouth including squid and octopus. I rate there rice the number one best I ever had.

I will not be returning to this place. Take your family elsewhere. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Had only been in the restaurant for about 10 minutes when the owner said that the next time we go in and there’s customers we can’t stay because of the babies disruptions. We ended up just taking our food to go. This place is not for families based off experience. Sushi Garden has better customer service. They even have a kids menu.

The sushi at this restaurant is really good. The owners wife is really nice. The owner needs to work on his anger and frustrations. He needs to work on the restaurants atmosphere.

Honestly a really relaxing and cozy place. Very quiet. Honestly felt like we were the loudest ones in there. Sushi was by far the best. Forgot to take pics but seriously trust me. As someone who’s been to Japan, Singapore, Manila and South Korea, I think I would know a thing or too about some sushi.

Customer service was by far the sweetest as well. Great for a date, a family meal, or even a little solo lunch/dinner.

So fresh! Incredible flavor, even the Cali rolls were amazing. Oh the Salmon was to die for! Squid salad was the best I ever had!

Best sushi I have found in Tucson. Everyone can have a good night but this place is consistent. I waited to review until I had at least been here twice and it’s just as good the second time. The sashimi is cut thick and it is cold. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve been given warm sushi in this town.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. We’ve never had a wait even with a party of 6 on a Friday night. The food is always so fresh and delicious! Large TVs for sports viewing and I recommend you Try the coarse filtered Sake. Good stuff!

It was edible. But the rice was under cooked. The rolls were bland. The edamame was unsalted. The waitress is a little grumpy. They claim to be open until 2 but turned a couple away at 115 because they said they close at 130? Will I be back? Nope. The yellowtail was good.

The best sushi in Tucson. We try to try other places but this one outranks all other sushi in town and we always compare other places to Kampai. Great quality fish, fish to rice ratio is always right, service is fast, never too packed – overall good value for what you pay.

This is probably the best sushi that I’ve had in Tucson since I’ve been here. The portions were huge, the flavors were good and the food was extremely fresh. The spicy tuna roll could have used a little bit more spice but was really good. The agadashi tofu was very light and tasty. The poke bowl salad was absolutely ginormous and worth the $23. But like most sushi places, it does come out of price. I think it’s worth it though for a really good fresh sushi.
