It’s a nice ride out in the country to get to the Kamp. The music was kinda loud. But just happen to have covered outdoor seating where it’s not soo loud. Waitresses were really friendly and helpful. Food was good and the beer was cold. Place has an outdoor play area for the kids. And it is really close to the lake.

Our party of 12 had a late lunch. The restaurant was in their ‘holiday’ menu mode, so the choices were limited.
The selection largely was quick fried food. Most of our group had fish, cole slaw, and fries. The cole slaw had an ‘off taste’ that I didn’t like.
Overall the food was OK, service was good. The only negative was the price…$15 or so for a fish basket was a little much.
I didn’t care for the seasoned cauliflower appetizer things…personal preference.
The restaurant is on Horseshoe Lake, so the place is probably seasonal. It is right on the lake so I guess one is paying for the ambiance.
They serve wine and beer for those enthusiasts.

Mid-South Gumbo Kingz
Kamp has been emodeled inside and out, with a nice dinner menu. Food was pretty good, and priced a little on the high side, but they do fill your plate to the edges. Great family atmosphere as well.

This is a great place to relax and have a great meal. The staff is always polite and fun to have around. They have karaoke night, and it’s a blast. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s well worth the drive if you’re not a local.

Kitchen staff was not wearing gloves when cooking, Management was drunk and cussing throughout the night, 2.5 hour wait for our meal, food was cold when it came out and prices were wrong on the menu. Do not recommend this establishment.
