I have been coming to Kami since around 2012. The food has always been great. During Covid, they closed their indoor seating and recently reopened it last year. I like the refreshed interiors of the restaurant. I also enjoy the new cutlery and dishes used. On this visit, I had a Philadelphia roll, vegetable spring rolls, and chicken Lo mein. The Philadelphia roll was great, and I liked the chicken Lo mein. On this visit, we were the only people inside and the service was great. Our order was accurate and quick. You must try Kami, it has the best Chinese in the area.

If you’re looking for high quality and even better value, look no further. I’m a regular here for a reason: the 3-roll lunch/dinner special is a steal at under $18, especially since it includes soup or salad. The sushi is always fresh (the salmon and tuna are top-tier), and the service is personal and fast. They even bring out fried wontons with dipping sauce to start you off. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area!

Kami is one of those rare restaurants that leaves you smiling long after the meal. Everything about this place feels right — from the fresh, beautifully presented sushi to the calm, welcoming atmosphere.
The fish is incredibly fresh, perfectly sliced, and never has that heavy aftertaste or smell that some sushi places do. Each bite tastes clean and delicate, showing true attention to quality. The seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had — crisp, flavorful, and balanced just right.
What truly surprised me is that my husband, who normally doesn’t eat fish, loved it here. The freshness and balance of flavors completely changed his mind — a first for him!
The staff is friendly, the service is smooth, and the environment feels comforting and relaxed. Kami manages to make dining feel special without being formal — it’s a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
Overall: A hidden gem in Wesley Chapel with exceptional sushi, a cozy atmosphere, and dishes made with real care. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food — even for those who thought they didn’t like sushi before.

I have been going to Kami for years and it has always been amazing. I usually get takeout, which is convenient. The food is top tier at great prices. I usually get a bento box, which has a lot of food for a reasonable price and portion. The sushi is also phenomenal, as I ordered the Weddington Roll and it did not disappoint.

We just tried this place for the first time. I was a bit hesitant because of the reviews but so glad we tried it. Everything we tried was great, including salmon, beef and chicken teriyaki, fried rice, soup and a sushi roll. My husband and I agreed that the sushi roll was the best we’ve had in the area.

Food is always good! I don’t know why there are many bad reviews, they do have large menu and maybe you need to know the right dishes to order since everyone has own preferences but every order I placed so far never fails me! They always provide great recommendations!

This is our second time ordering from here and the food every time is as it should be! Shrimp and lobster sauce is the best I have had in this entire state! They seem to be the only ones who know how to make it! General chicken is also a number one in our house! Thank you for making my birthday a good one! And as always, they make sure that you get everything you ordered!

$23; Admittedly, I was a couple minutes late picking it up, so it wasn’t the best by the time I got it home. Oh, and fyi, that’s the pepper steak in the photo (not the black pepper steak I thought it was).

Stopped in for a quick late lunch by myself because I was busy and I really don’t like fast food. Ordered the chicken Kung Pao lunch, and was truly impressed. Food was fresh and delicious, not sticky sweet or gooey like many Chinese places serve their food. I’ll definitely be keeping this place on my rotation.

I don’t know if this is normal, but it wasnt for me. Figured I’d warn people, just in case. Ordered Tuna Tataki takeout. There was a light up battery operated ball in it. A plastic ball, lightbuld and 2 button cell batteries. Slight opening to battery area. Not only a choking hazard if not seen(light could go out) but also batteries in the food?!?!? Not only is the area open to the food touching it, but if the ball broke you’d just have free floating batteries in there. Made a call and was told next time make sure I remove lighted decoration before giving to a child and they would consider not including it in take out in the future. Actually seemed they thought I was an idiot for not expecting it. But they’ll make me another one whenever I want to go back. All I want is a full refund of my order as we won’t trust any of the food now. I’d say this is definitely unsafe and I wouldn’t go back. May need to involve the Health department.
