Ordered the Lechon Kawali for our affinity group luncheon at work. It was insanely delicious and the the sauce was a sweet flavor to bring out the juiciness of the Lechon. Highly recommend getting this for a potluck, as we only devoured half of the Medium tray between the 10 of us, so plenty to go around!

This restaurant is a very nice and happy environment. I went with my family because we were in the area and the reviews looked very good aswell as the food. The very kind woman who was extremely patient was an excellent help with the food and ordering asking just the right questions. The food was also very tasty and flavorful. KEEP IN MIND they have certain foods already made the rest is on the menu is cooked after you order it. The photos look like it is dark because that’s just the exposure on my phone.

THIS IS THE SPOT! oh my goodness my friend and I stopped in here for brunch and the service was phenomenal Mrs () was awesome at making recommendations and even offered to cook us some eggs with our rice. The food was so tender and juicy you couldn’t help but want to over eat. This is one of those rare gems you find amd have to tell everyone about because they do good food right with great service. The sausages are worth every penny. If you’re in the area definitely swing by. It’s the best shop in this market, I’m exceptionally proud they’re able to keep the store so clean with the disgusting anime pavilion next door that’s clearly very smelly and unclean and full of bugs.

So happy I found this gem while driving through the area. Nothing I miss more than good pandesal and sinigang (which they didn’t have but they’d a soup very similar). Wish they’d had sisig! Call ahead to see what they have because they don’t always have the full menu available. My friend who is pescatarian only had one option available. Their garlic rice was really, really REALLY good. Only criticism is that I was over charged for my pichipichi. I was charged $7.99 when the price was quoted as $5.99 when I asked how much it cost. Also my lumpia was served cold which was sad.

If you want to have a Filipino Breakfast and would like to try it , this is the place to go . We have our breakfast this morning and the food is cooked fresh . The cook was the only one there first and she was very nice . The food taste good and hot . I love the Bicol Express and the Laing . And the Menudo , the meat is very tender . I took my friend who is new to Filipino Cuisine , He really loves the food here at Kamayan Filipino American Asian Cuisine . The place is clean and the restroom is well cleaned too. The only thing missing is they do not have coffee and fresh juice for breakfast . But they do serve other cold drinks.

We love trying Filipino food so we were excited to find this ‘hole in the wall’. Unfortunately this place is not super friendly for those who are new to the cuisine; there’s a counter where you can pick and choose the food but nothing’s labeled. Thankfully, the lady was able to give us a brief explanation of everything available. We chose the three entree option with pancit noodles, bicon express and adobo chicken – all with garlic rice, as well as a side of lumpia.

My critiques on the meal:

• Garlic rice – flavor was good but a lot of the rice was dried out and crunchy from either sitting out too long or using two day old rice

• Pancit noodles – lacked flavor, didn’t really taste like much, 95% noodles and not much of anything else

• Bicon express – liked the flavor of the pork bits and the amount of spice but it had a pool of oil sitting on top

• Adobo chicken – was good and loved the flavor but they only gave four small pieces

We were saying how everything would taste so much better if the food was cooked to order, rather than bring batch cooked in the morning and left sitting out in warmers all day. The lumpia was semi cold and soggy 🙁

We ended with a halo halo, which was the saving grace for this meal. Really yummy and big portion (I guess they have to for $13!) but it’s def one of the best halo halo we’ve had in DMV area.

Would we go back? Most likely not but it was worth a try. We may check out the other locations in the future.

Side comment: I went to use the restroom in the back and as I was going towards there, one of the worker men was coming out of the restroom. He saw me and started smiling sheepishly??? I was confused until I went in and saw that he had urinated but did not flush ……. super gross…..

First time for me to try Filipino food and it was delicious. Many different flavors from sweet to sour but not to spicy. Highly recommended. I had Pork Adobo, Squid tubes in sauce and Dinuguan

I just ate here and ordered menudo & pork adobo. The menudo tasted horrible.. i only took one bite and didn’t even touch it again. I’m not even sure what that taste is but it tastes old. The pork adobo was bearable but the meat was so tough. I spent $12+ for the chefs duo and only had the stomach to finish the pork adobo and a bit of rice till i saw something i didn’t expect. I chose to dine in and where i sat there was a massive roach crawling up the pillar against my table. There were also roaches all over the register counter. I wouldn’t even be surprised if some wound up in the food. The temperature of the food wasn’t hot enough either. The heat needs to be higher and to be quiet honest I’m so disappointed. Every filipino restaurant i’ve been to in Springfield has had roaches. NEVER eating here again and I highly suggest you shouldn’t even think about it. Might as well make filipino food at home.
