My husband and I came to Kamari Kafe today and it was such a great find. I ordered the steak skillet, tender, well-seasoned steak with sautéed peppers and onions, crispy potatoes, and perfectly cooked eggs. My husband had the corned beef hash skillet, which was packed with flavor and cooked just right, hearty and satisfying in the best way.
We also had the pancakes, and they were incredible…fluffy, light, and freshly made, the kind that don’t even need much syrup because they’re that good. Everything came out hot, fresh, and clearly made with care.
The space is cozy and welcoming, with a comfortable, neighborhood feel. It’s VERY clean, relaxed, and the kind of place where you can actually sit and enjoy your meal. The owners are kind, proud, and clearly take great care in what they serve and how they run their place.
It’s located in a cozy neighborhood, and there’s plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant, which makes stopping in easy and convenient.
If you’re looking for delicious, well-made comfort food, generous portions, and a warm, genuine atmosphere, Kamari Kafe is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!!

We drove up north to support this family-owned business and were blown away. The atmosphere makes you feel at home instantly. The owners and the chef were incredibly kind, and Maria provided top-tier service. The food was the cherry on top—absolutely delicious. Highly recommend making the trip!

We were frequent customers of Norwood Cafe but had not been there for a few months…we were very surprised to see it had changed hands…the new owners are fantastic! We received a warm welcome and were delighted to find out our favorite server, Holly, was still there. The food was good before but I think it has even gotten better!!! The pancakes were light and fluffy…my omelette was perfectly done…the order of extra crisp bacon was exactly that and the breakfast potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside (with a few crunchy ones-my favorite). There is such a positive vibe under the new management…word must be out because the restaurant was pleasantly full (as am I)!!!!

We found this gem as we were looking for a breakfast place on our way to O’Hare. We weren’t sure where to go since we’re coming from Indiana. They are not far from highway at all. Finding this gem made a great start to the morning.
The food was deliciously freshly made. Our server was so sweet from beginning to end. The icing on the cake was that the owners were walking around checking on everyone. She got to know us and welcomed us and walked us out.
We love family owned business and this place is outstanding. We definitely recommend for you to stop in!!

Welcome to the clean plate club! Breakfast was an absolute treat. We had delicious traditional breakfast! Our food was spot on, exactly what you expect. The steak and eggs was perfect! Wow! This place is awesome. My veggie Omelette was absolutely delicious. You can tell the veggies are all very fresh. My boyfriend’s Skillet was a beautiful pile of protein, cooked beautifully. The coffee, including the decaf, was so good. Usually decaf gets left behind and is really bad.
Our waitress Brandy was so sweet and very attentive. The owners are very kind and welcoming. Right now, the restaurant is decorated for the holidays and feel so festive.
