I tried two appetizers. The Paneer Chilli was fantastic. I asked for spicy and I’d consider it medium. Very tasty though and a good amount of paneer. I finished the whole thing myself.

I also tried the Chatpate which is kind of like Bhel Puri if you’ve had the Indian appetizer. I wish it was crunchy. It was soggy. This one was spicier than the other. Not my favorite, but I’ll definitely be back very soon for a full meal.

If you want something unique try the butter tea. Spiced tea with butter.

Excellent food- it can be hard to find reasonably priced restaurants in Hilo (especially for a tourist like me). I ordered the goat curry lunch special and the variety of different items they gave was amazing.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered the Jhol momo (pork), vegetarian thali, and the chicken Sekuwa. The Jhol momo sauce was so flavorful, the dumplings were nicely filled and super yummy. The vegetarian thali was delicious and very filling. It came with the most delicious rice pudding that was rich but not too sweet. It was the best rice pudding I’ve ever had in my life. The yogurt sauce was tangy and obviously house made. The sweet mohi was lightly sweetened and tangy just like the yogurt sauce. The chicken Sekuwa was a very delicious bite. Nicely spiced and very flavorful. I can’t wait to go back!

Edit: We came back and got the meat thali and fried momo, also delicious. I highly recommend the sweet mohi and the rice pudding (kheer) was just as delicious as I remember. The service was excellent as usual. The servers were very friendly and warm.

Spent a month in Nepal last summer so this place sounded good. Vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available. Food was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced for the generous portion. Service was friendly and efficient. The lunch specials look great, so I’d happily eat here again.

Amazing!! The staff were always so friendly and willing to accommodate our requests. Delicious, authentic food at a good price. The lunch Thalis (my personal favorite) were so rich in flavor and we even had leftovers! The place has a cozy and pleasant atmosphere as well. Everything far exceeded my expectations. 10/10 would recommend!!

Really good place, great food. I ordered a few of my all-time favorites: chicken momo, dal bhat tarkari, and goat curry, and every dish exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, and the décor has subtle touches that celebrate Nepali culture without being overwhelming.

Our server was horrible! He seemed angry and couldn’t possibly have cared less about us or anyone else in the restaurant. He barely qualified as a “server”. The atmosphere was just as grim. It smelled weird, has zero warmth or character, nothing. Awkward and uncomfortable.
The food was just OK. We had steamed veggie momo which was really bland and goat thali. The thali was decent and the goat was cooked well but was 95% bone. For $24 we expected more meat. We’ll not go back.
