I had a great dinner at this Thai restaurant. I ordered ข้าวผัดกะเพราหมู (Rice topped with stir-fried pork and basil) – the portion was really generous and the taste was authentic and delicious. The owner was super friendly and even spoke German, which made the experience even more welcoming. Highly recommended!

Very authentic Thai spicy food. You can just taste the spice in each dish, they are all home made. The owner speaks Thai and he was very friendly to us. The portion is good with reasonable price. We ordered green curry and pad Thai with a little bit spicy. But the spice is really spicy for European standard i think. Totally recommend it if you are looking for spicy authentic Thai food in Vienna, probably the best!

Amazing (and very affordable) Thai restaurant in the 2nd District. The best I’ve had in Austria so far and reminds me of the very authentic Thai food I could get in places like London and New York. They actually can make it very spicy if you like (as I do). Drink selection is good and very reasonably priced. Note: it’s a cash-only place, but if you forget to get some before heading there, just down the street by the SPAR grocery store is a Raiffeisen ATM.

I cant believe I’m saying (or typing this) but Kamala is the best and most authentic Thai food I have ever eaten, and I’ve been to Thailand to eat the Thai food cooked by Thai people.

Well, the owner is from Thailand. The cook is from Thailand. The restaurant even looks like it’s transported right from the most popular streets where locals will visit for authentic Thai food.

I ordered the Pad Thai and my friend tried their fish with tom yum sauce, which is Thailand’s version of spicy sauce. My goodness, it has the hallmarks of home-cooked food while retaining the quality and consistency. I say that, because I ate here twice before leaving Vienna with a sad hole in my heart knowing I may never try something as good again.

The owner is a little eccentric, which might be a turn off to others. Personally speaking, I enjoy his oddity! He speaks little English, but is fluent in German. Use Google Translate to find out what’s on their menu!

Overall, party of 1-4. The restaurant is absolutely tiny and cannot accommodate more than twenty people at once.

I had the best experience here – I ended up coming back twice in one week! The owner is a very kind gentleman and the food is unbelievably good. I’ve been to Thailand and the food here was even better (the owner is Thai, so you know it’s authentic). I loved my pad thai with tofu and spicy papaya salad. I would come back to Vienna solely to go to Kamala Thai Imbiss!

Nice Thai restaurant. Pad thai and Tom ka gai are super. The rest is good, but I was not impressed by the other dishes. Worth it a try though!

After trying out most of the Thai restaurants in Vienna, this is by far the most authentic one. Limited menu, but executed perfectly and consistent taste every single time. Hats off to the super friendly and accommodating owner! Highly recommended.

Delicious authentic Thai food (and I would know, I lived there for 7 years) and extremely well priced.
Love all the dishes, absolutely recommend. All the friends I have taken there have loved it. Thai beer also available.
Do not the “special” opening hours if you don’t want to be disappointed!

INCREDIBLE Thai food (apparently known to be the best in Vienna, according to all these reviews!)
We discovered it by chance and were amazed at the quality of this authentic (and yes, spicy) Thai food.
‍ The owner, whose story and philosophy you can read on the website, was most gracious and kind when we collected our order.
We can’t wait to eat here again!
