Kam Yin has been our family go to for Chinese food when celebrating holidays and special occasions. We’ve ordered from there 2-3 times a year for the last 12 years.
Our last order really did not live up to the standard they set in prior years.
Items were missing from our delivery order — plum sauce and fortune cookies. Adults can shrug off the oversight. Kids were disappointed. Several of the dishes were bland and flavorless. Shrimp noodles had no flavor. Beef with broccoli had no flavor. Mixed vegetables (lol, fried cabbage and onion salad) had no flavor. Egg roll was bland. Really. Only the fried rice tasted like it was seasoned adequately.
If this wasn’t an occasion with guests already seated for a meal I would have driven it back to the restaurant to ask for my money back.

Overall experience here was a 3 because the people were nice but the food was just not to my liking. Firstly the dishes all had a very strange taste like it was a twist of what it was suppose to be like a knock of version. The beef noodle had like an off soy taste the noodles were like thin dried rice noodles the wrong kind of noodles for a hor fun dish. The meat we got pork chops and beef were chewy and dry enough for me to think twice before swallowing it. The mushroom gravy for this dish we had was real clumpy… I think it seemed like they put some extra flour in it and as you can see from the photo it was extra thick. The texture of made me lose my appetite. Overall, I really think this place can benefit from serving up better food. I recommend this place if you like fun twist on your chinese food maybe some people might like it.

Sesame chicken was good and would probably be even better when it hasn’t been in a takeout container for the drive home. Other dishes were well prepared. The “Beef with Ginger” dish is not the same as “Ginger Beef” you might get at other restaurants, so dont order it expecting it to be breaded. The fried rice tasted more burnt than I would like. Food was ready quickly and seems fresh.

Found there was lots of black pepper used during cooking. The chicken and mushroom dish was covered in black pepper…too much for my whole family liking.If you like lots of black pepper this dish is for you. Half of the sweet and sour chicken balls tasted a little off, we didn’t finish them. This was the first time at this restaurant but will not go back. I want to add that the servers were very friendly and food was done quickly.

Ordered a number one, Egg roll tasted amazing, was very crunchy, the sweet and sour pork was extremely crunchy but lacked a little in flavor, rice is brown, Fluffy, and tastes amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for a cheap but quality bite to eat

Trying to eat healthier, so I was happy to see some good veggie options. The Sautéed Broccoli was perfectly cooked—crisp and not greasy at all. My friend’s Beef with Snow Pea Pods looked delicious, too. It’s so nice to find a place that can do both delicious and healthy meals.

As I walked in there was a funny smell to the place but I stayed and ordered the chicken middle soup and the fried wontons. The chicken noodle soup had a very weird taste to it aswell as there being no seasoning on the chicken or in the broth, it was very bland. She a picture of the fried wontons and high looked good it the picture but when I got them they looked completely different and were like horrible greasy chips alongside a very mediocre sauce. Overall the staff was nice but the food was horrible and overpriced for what we got

I have been here in the past and loved it. I had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant here today. The service was bad and slow, items were missed constantly and seemed as if the staff didn’t know how to work the technology. We were patient and kind, but ended up needing to grab our own take out containers to make a bit of a point that we were ready to go after multiple failed attempts calling staff over for assistance.We thought, well at least the food will be good. I unfortunately had the sesame chicken and it was inedible. I have had some bad Chinese in my day, but this was the worst. Everything tasted “off”. I brought my Grandmother and her sister, mom and my aunt and was embarrassed that I chose to bring them here today.
