We were craving for some Chinese BBQ platter and this place did a good number on it! I especially liked their char siu it has good flavor and it’s not too sweet and the meat is very tender.

Also — SF has the oldest Chinatown in the US so it’s worth visiting the area and getting some freshly cooked sesame balls around the area after this meal!

I ordered a BBQ pork and soy sauce chicken combo rice, and it was absolutely delicious! Their daily soup was also amazing. If you come to Chinatown for a meal, don’t miss this long-standing restaurant. Boss Eddy and Helen is very kind and genuine person too, same as their server, very friendly! I will come back soon

Perfect Chinese takeout place for the neighborhood. Reasonable prices, large quantities and greasy in the best way. Love the fish and tofu clay pot and the wet shrimp chow fun the most. Pea sprouts and Chinese broccoli are perfect veggie sides. Cash only!

We ordered Gongbao Chicken and Stir-fried String Beans, the common Sichuan dishes at this Cantonese restaurant. They were absolutely delicious.

I’ve never experienced such delicious flavors—I was genuinely shocked by how amazing everything tasted! The duck is definitely a must-try. I do wish the restaurant had a better seating area and atmosphere, but the incredible flavors alone make it worth the visit.

Of all of the things to do and all of the places to eat, Kam PO Kitchen was one of the highlights of my visit to SF.
Authentic throw down
cooking of meats, veggies, soup and more in a bare bones atmosphere.
These street corner restaurants are where you find the best home style cooking.
The nice lady named Ho was so kind and helpful with food suggestions and the cook who didn’t have much to say just threw down and prepared some great food.
This place is a must stop and eat in SF.
Be sure to arrive on an empty stomach so you can indulge.

This was the first restaurant during our visit in San Francisco. The lady was super nice and prompted seated us. She knew that we were new and offered to give us some recommendations.

We decided to go with her suggestions and ended up getting 2 combos with rice and a veggie dish. Everything was super delicious. The veggies were fresh and nicely stir fried. All of the meats were super good but especially the char siu (bbq pork) which was the best I ever had. It was super juicy and flavorful. The rice plates were huge portions, we had to take the rest to go.

Overall, this is a great place to visit and the food was delicious. They only take cash!

A true hole in the wall.

Yes, you might pay a little more than expected—but that’s the tourist premium, and honestly, it’s worth every cent. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the food speaks for itself.

Everything we tried was delicious, but the standout was definitely the soup with Char Siu Pork which was rich, flavorful, and absolutely phenomenal.

Highly recommend!

Great meal. As soon as I saw it was cash only, I knew it was going to be a good night. I went with another person, and ordered the roast duck, BBQ chicken with rice and a side of broccoli and could not finish it. Serving size was very generous, and was very delicious- could not fault. I will be returning.

Priced very well and cheap for the amount of food you get. Owner/chef knew what he was doing.

Place was quiet and there was no one. The lady server was very pushy to sell their vegetable dish which wasn’t in the menu. Without thinking much I ordered a pork over rice, wanton noodles and vegetable which I was pushed to buy. Total I was charged $50USD. Lady told me
pork over rice was $18.50
Wanton noodles was $13.50
Vegetable was $18.50
What a RIP OFF!!!!!
