Situated in the heart of Lake Anne Plaza. Kalypso’s has a fun happy hour experience, either at the bar or sitting in the big outside eating area. Plus, you have a spectacular view of Lake Anne from anywhere you sit outside or near a window inside. With nice weather, the laid-back atmosphere is wonderful. Don’t be surprised if you stay long past happy hour and close the place down!

Excellent patio, nice view of the Lake Anne. Good atmosphere. We visited on a warm day when it was too crowded, not enough wait staff. We sat in the patio and sipped our drinks. They brought out our dish and the second one never came. After more than an hour I went in and took the pizza we ordered as a take out.

We were a group of three decide to stop by for a drink and a short appetizer. The waitress was so rude, it took her 20 mins to bring us our wines. And then she was like I only have two hands. I’ve never seen this much rudeness in a waitress, so impolite. We ordered Greek platter starter and it took them 40 minutes to bring it! The view is beautiful though!

I read all the negative reviews for this restaurant, but wanted to give it a try because I really like the location. We brought our dog and ate outside and were promptly brought a bowl of water for her. The staff was warm and Friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were a perfect size. The grilled salmon and the lamb salad was great. Maybe give this place another try.

Predictably horrible service (told to wait for our reservation, then told we didn’t have one, showed them then – allowed to sit and be ignored most of the night- only put up with this as we had our vegetarian person with us) excellent food, right in the middle of Lake Anne seasonal events. Maybe next time we’ll take a sampler to the brew house to be surrounded by friendly folk

Came in mid-afternoon. Noticed there was an outdoor bar — nice seating with good view of water. A host-type guy came from the other side of the outdoor seating area, asked us where we wanted to sit. I said at the bar, gesturing to the location. He said that was fine.

We went back to give it one more try. I’m glad we did because the food is good. They have had service/management issues in the past. Things seem to be a bit better. Katie is always amazing, however, we never are lucky enough to get in her section. This review is an improved update from a past one. Thank you!

I didn’t read the other reviews before going so I was not prepared for the terrible service. There are a ton of staff wandering around while everyone is waiting for them. I wouldn’t have though you could staff a place this bad if you tried.

First timer and I actually liked it . When you park in the lot , you will be like – where is this place .. but when you turn around the main building and go backside , you will be amazed . There is a small lake with boating and so many restaurants around it . Parking is tight . Very difficult to get a parking !!

I visited this restaurant with my family the same day as the Cardboard Boats Reggata and we literally waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food. I had to beg for water, basically go a grab it myself because they were for sure understaff.
