One of the best Jamaican spots in Buffalo!! The service is great! Always friendly and great food for the price! I love the jerk chicken with rice n peas, cabbage, and plantain. The oxtail is very tender, and the plantains are the best I always make sure to get them.

If I’m being honest, this is not Jamaican food. The food is not well seasoned. The oxtails are tender but extremely bland. The rice is soft like soup. I’m from NYC where you can get very tasting Jamaican food and wanted a bite here but this just ruined my taste buds. I’m not sure if the actual reviewers tasted real Jamaican food before but it is NOT this. Although, the portion sizes and service is nice.

No disrespect, but the food did not taste like authentic Caribbean food. I grew up in a West Indian household so I know what it should taste like. It was more like a watered down Caribbean resort food that catered to Caucasians who can’t handle the authentic foods of the Caribbean. I got curry chicken and could barely taste the curry. The coleslaw hardly had any dressing on it. Will not be ordering again. Sad, because Buffalo hardly has any West Indian restaurants around. Will wait till I go to Toronto

This place is very popular for Jamaican food. I ordered two meals, and each takeout container was loaded. Prices are very reasonable and service is great. Food is well worth trying.

One of my favorite Caribbean places for sure. Definitely try the jerk chicken, pork and pepper beef. The portion size is great and a complete value for money. The food is so delicious and tastes home cooked. Every time I visit Buffalo I always get food from here. A must try!

ive tried all the jamaican places in buffalo and this was the best by far!! the jerk chicken is to die for, the sauce is the best, just the right amount of spice and kick, without being too hot.. and the chicken falls off the bone its so tender. i always buy about 5 dinners so i can eat them through the week because its sooo delicious that i can never get enough. fair prices and nice sized portions, the plantains are tender and sweet. the jerk pork and pepper steak are also great, my friend orders the ox and loves it. we have never had any food from here that wasnt good- its all been great. the cakes are so delicious too! so soft and moist and flavorful! have been a customer for years and will be for the rest of my life as long as they are in business! the people who run it are always so lovely and nice.

The inside of the building is practically falling apart (wood plank ceiling, paint peeling/dirty) but never mind that. The jerk chicken was extremely dried out and the rice and peas tasted like they’ve been made in the morning and sat in a heated up pot. The coleslaw is not bad, the portion size is excellent, the plantain is delicious, and the jerk seasoning is pretty decent but the chicken and rice kills the vibe entirely. All these good reviews must be from people who’ve never eaten jamaican food from the island itself and grown up on it like I did because a real Jamaican would never praise this food. The coco bread is also dry and stale. They also don’t honor the 12-2 lunch special so don’t expect to get $5 jerk. I paid $15.50 for a small jerk chicken and coco bread and didn’t finish either.

My favorite caribbean restaurant in Buffalo. Generous portions. Always get the combo with oxtail and jerk chicken. Meat is fall off the bone and cooked to perfection. Food is made extremely fast compared to other caribbean restaurants. Definitely check them out

I’ve been going here since 2016, and it’s probably the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. The jerk chicken plate with coco bread will always be my go too.
