Kalyan Dhaba is an Indian restaurant, although the menu also includes several Thai dishes such as Pad Thai or chicken with cashew nuts. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Cashew Nut. Both dishes were tasty, but the portion sizes, considering the price, are simply unreasonable — easily overpriced by at least 20%, if not more.

What’s even more surprising is that the dishes do not come with any sides. There is no rice, fries, or other sundries included; the price covers only the main dish. For around 40 PLN you can get a full meal in many other restaurants, while here you have to order all extras separately.

The staff is friendly, but the interior doesn’t really invite you in — it lacks any Indian atmosphere or character. The addition of pickled ginger to the cashew nut dish also felt quite out of place. The amount of chicken in both dishes was noticeably small.

In short: the food is good, but the portions are small and the prices too high. Because of the pricing, it doesn’t encourage a return visit despite the decent flavours.

Tbh came back after long time just to try again but it wasn’t worth a chance. Balti and shahi paneer tasted same. Will never come back

I came here on a Sunday evening with friends. The place with pretty empty with I think another table with patrons but it suited us! The ambiance is really nice with Indian music playing in the background and the seating being very homely. The location is well situated too being next to many tram and bus stops!
The food was yum. At the restaurant
For starters we got paneer pakora, tandoori chicken and samosas. The paneer and samosas hit the spot but the tandoori chicken didn’t have the right flavours and felt more like basic grilled chicken. For main I had lamb vindaloo which I wouldn’t call authentic but in Europe is what it is and what I expected so i wasn’t disappointed at all. My friends got chicken coconut curry and mushroom with peas and with rice and the immensely enjoyed it. I had my vindaloo with roti and was super satisfied. I also got a lamb biryani for takeaway and my goodness was it amazing!

We visited this Indian restaurant and were absolutely delighted! The flavors of the dishes were incredible — every sauce was rich and well-balanced, with spices blended to perfection. The meat and vegetables were cooked just right.
We especially loved the tikka masala and garlic naan — absolutely delicious!
The service was excellent: the staff was polite, attentive, and ready to help with recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy, and the interior made us feel like we were truly in India.
We’ll definitely be coming back and will recommend this place to our friends!

Really great food! It was the first place where I had an actual Indian cuisine and now I often come back for more. Cosy place, not too expensive not too fancy, great for lunch or if you want to go out with friends.

So we were there here the other day, and overall the food was okay, like any other indian restaurant in Warsaw. BUT NEVER ORDER Paneer Vindaloo, clearly the cook doesn’t know how to cook, the person just added lots of chilly powder to the dish and didn’t even cook it properly, tasted so raw. It was so spicy that I don’t think 90% of the Indians wouldn’t handle. I asked the waiter to take it away and complained about it, the curry was raw and wasn’t cooked and shouldn’t be served to any creature. After which I was also made to pay for it, thanks to the chef and his wonderful cooking skills, we were the scape goat. I hope they address this issue and improve. 🙂

I am a very satisfied client since one year. I’ve been visiting Kalyan quite regularly and each time after a visit my stomach is happy and full. The Korma or Tikka Masala versions of Mutton or Paneer cheese are so juicy, sweet and give me full taste of Indian cuisine, which I love. You feel the richness of spices for every dish. And not to forget about deliciously Naan bread – especially versions with butter and garlic. They are served warm with melted button and lots of small, chopped bits of garlic, so great!
