Had an amazing fish & chips. My husband had the seafood basket. Both very tasty. Good sized portion (actually too much for me!) Mary is lovely – came over and checked to see how our meal was going.

Lowkey and casual, just the way we like it. We ordered at the counter from the very helpful and friendly staff then grabbed a seat by the window overlooking the waterfront. The shrimp tacos, spicy lobster corn chowder and blackened swordfish were so good. We chatted with another employee as we were leaving who gave us local recommendations. Really wonderful experience.

Toasted split roll, light mayo (cold version), lettuce bed. Missing something, maybe a touch of salt?

We enjoyed the lobster pie and pleasant staff. The food is standard lobster fare and comes with sides and plenty of food. If you want a family friendly restaurant at a reasonable price this is a go to place!

Great food and atmosphere. My kind of place. You order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. It’s not fancy at all. Prices are really good compared to other places. We weren’t looking for anything fancy and this was just right. We are outside on the deck, probably about 8 tables out there. There is seating inside. The town itself was not busy at all, so we didn’t wait to order. I would imagine, when the harbor area is busy this place would be as well. If you’re looking for fancy, skip this place. If you just want good, reasonable priced food, Kaler’s is your place!

I surprised my husband for a milestone birthday with a trip to the New England states and this place came up as a byproduct. The town is super quaint and everything a “Maine town” should look like… Based on my movie knowledge, of course. For the view and scallops, absolutely worth it!

First time back at Kale’s since 2017, I used to bring my Charter Boat there with guests for years….and I was surprised at the changes in format from full wait staff to food counter ordering. I brought 15 guests in and should have done my homework to let them know what to expect. The food was excellent and hot…….drinks were strong and cold…..Mary, Maddie and the Bartender were very friendly as always and it ended up being a very positive experience!!!!

This is a great choice of the many options in the area. If you like spicy, don’t miss the spicy lobster soup!!! The short wait in line, down the stairs that come off the street, is worth it as you will quickly find yourself at a table either inside or out on their deck overlooking the bay. HOT TIP: There is ONE table down the dock ramp that is available for restaurant patrons. Most people don’t realize you can actually sit there, but it is part of the restaurant. You may even witness an employee coming down to check their floating lobster bins (see pic) to decide the fate of who gets to move on to the lobster pot today. Lol. It’s an awesome experience to feel the slight motion of the water as you sit at your picnic table on the bay.

After you order your food step to the right to grab any alcoholic beverages you want from the bar as you order them separate. Their deck is covered so you’ll be protected from the sun. There is a menu posted at the top of the stairs but I have also attached pictures of the full menu here. There is two hour free street parking just outside the restaurant if you can find a spot.
