As a first time visit to Kalaveras, the experience could have been better. As we arrived i waited for the hostess to finish doing a few things. The restaurant was not too busy lots of empty tables yet the wait time was unavoidable due to one server was working the entire restaurant. We sat waited another 10 minutes until we got our drinks order, we manage to order everything toqether yet again the process of the food took 15 to 20 min. We got Nachos,and a Dragon roll appetizer We never got our chips and Salsa on time, we got the chips until we were having our food. Had to ask for the cutlery. The drinks not the best. The Margarita super water down. My husband order a Mango Michelada, and i had a Pineapple slushie The service needs to improve. Food was not as delightful or tasty as I expected. Our server never checked in.

This was a great place to come watch a football game and enjoy some Delicious food. Maria, the manager was excellent and very professional. Mateo, one of the bartenders was celebrating his birthday and he very generously shared his cake with us . Our server, Britney provided Service with a smile and was very attentive! Overall, this is a great restaurant; We will definitely be back

Service was really slow because 1 server was waiting on 10 tables. The server was friendly and very apologetic due to the slow service. Management needs to resolve this provide more staff/support.

I had heard a lot of great things about Kalaveras & how great their food is. I had gone a Sunday afternoon after attending a local toy drive. I had walked in & I had seen that the staff was converting their brunch service to regular service due to brunch being over at 2pm. I waited for about 4 minutes for a hostess to great me & my manager & asked if we have been helped. Which we replied, ‘no, we haven’t.’ The hostess sat us down at a booth with menus but no napkins or utensils placed at the table. My manager & I we’re waiting for about 15 minutes before our server, Drew, had came over to take our drink orders. After 3 minutes later, Drew, came over & took our food order & he was very knowledgeable about the menu items & what protein options were available to order in a burrito. During the time we were waiting for our food to be delivered at our table, the FOH manager came over to our table & asked if everything was going well. As much I wanted to tell her that her FOH service staff are under performing, with the exception of Drew, but I she seemed she wasn’t the type to take the situation seriously due to her physical impression was very lacking due to not having her button up shirt properly tucked in & not caring for her staff’s performance. Once our food arrived, my burrito was good but it need to be improved. For the price of their burrito, I could have gone to my usual taco stand & pay less for their burrito that tastes better & have a healthy portion to it. My manager’s plate could have used a little bit more cheese, but overall, she enjoyed her enchiladas platter with her flight of margaritas. During the whole time, Drew, was very accommodating & knew that I wasn’t too pleased but he did try his best to make our experience with Kalaveras better but it was a point of no return for me. I have been in culinary field for 21 years & I know what to look for in great service, great food & overall great experience. I will never go to this location again, but I will give another location a try & see how it compares to this location.

Two of us went to Kalaveras in City of Industry on 5/26/2025 for dinner, ordered trio Fajitas ($30) and CEVICHE ($20). Fajitas chicken and beef were very tender, tasted good. Ceviche was a little too sour for us. Very good service (waiter Abraham) experienced. Will go again.

First time at this Kalaveras in Puente Hills. It’s very family oriented. Everyone accommodating and incredibly quick service. Atmosphere was calm. The food was extremely tasty! Dragon sushi roll was so, so, so delicious . I also had a salmon taco and shrimp tacos… those were also good. . I had the passion fruit agua fresca. I have to say that was too sweet for my taste. Other than that, we were pleased.
We will definitely be back again!

The appetizers are decent, the drinks are amazing. Jesus, our waiter, made us feel like family. Great place to grab a few drinks & spend time with friends & family. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

We went on a Sunday morning for Brunch.
Food had good taste. Unfortunately it was not hot. I did not see the food being warmed while it sat there. The selection was very limited.
We will be eating our brunch elsewhere in the future. The price is the same with hot food and 3 times the selection.
Kalaveras is close to us. We will have to drive further for El Torito. But worth it.

Omg! First time here. Called ahead in the morning to give them a heads up there were going to be 15 of us & they said no problem.
We arrived on time and our table was set. I loved the music, the decor the atmosphere was just right
We had a waitress who was on top of her game. The manager was also stopping by to make sure we were good.
Plus the other waiter gentleman made time to answer my question about a white drink he was carrying. He even offered to bring me a taste and omg it was delicious, Orchata Colada!! The best! Never had it so i ordered it. Then later he noticed my grandson & was sweet enough to bring him a small sampler of fruit. He loved it! That totally made our day.
Later the waitress cleared our tables brought the team with currled churro with ice cream of top (to die for) for our 2 birthday siblings, made a big deal with loud noise makers, clappers & announcement! I hear they will accommodate special candels or birthday signs. That’s great. We all love a big fuss for our birthday!

We had the molcajete, (wished it was spicier or wished they would have asked our preference) but it was tender meat, chicken, cheese cactus and shrimp. Yummy!!
Then my son ordered the quesa birria he loved it & ordered another to go.
Everyone was pleased. At the end of it all the bill was not as much as we expected so that was the cherry on top!! Highly recommend!!

The chilaquiles here were disappointing. The chips were rock hard, and there was barely any salsa to hold them together.
Honestly, if you want to try Kalaveras chilaquiles, just take some tortilla chips, drizzle salsa on top, and save yourself $18 and an hour-long wait.
