5 stars is not enough!! We went to Kalamata Meze Bar last night for the first time and absolutely loved our time there. The food, service and atmosphere were top notch. Our server, Franklin, was exceptional. The food was fantastic and seasoned to perfection. This is a small, shareable plate type of restaurant and you’ll be able to try many different foods. Save room for the homemade desserts! Im including a few photos but do not know the correct menu names to caption them. The food is Mediterranean type specializing in Turkish, Moroccan and Greek dishes. There is something on the menu for everyone. Depending on the day, it appears as though they offer many specials. On certain nights of the week belly dancers will be performing. We look forward to another visit soon.

This place is amazing and at the top of my list for Ocean City. The Mediterranean food is outstanding and the cocktails do NOT disappoint. The menu is robust and support both casual and vegetarian selections.
The lunch specials provide the best of both worlds sampling the best items on the menu at an extremely attractive price point. Don’t miss this place – you won’t be disappointed.
The atmosphere is sophisticated and upscale with industrial look and feel. The kitchen is open to the floor where you can see your orders being freshly prepared.

I love Mediterranean food, and this is the best I have ever had. Sincerely. Every bite I took felt like I was feasting! Beautiful interior and elegant table (gorgeous dishware), incredible menu, and the lunch special is such a steal that I ordered the grilled halloumi plate as well. Warm and friendly staff ~ thank you Berkan! I wish I lived closer, and will definitely return when in the area.

We were just staying one night in OCMD and it was pretty late by the time we got in. Thankfully we got to Kalamata just in time for dinner because the food was amazing. We wanted to try a few things so we got two samplers and the baked feta. It was like a feast. Everything we had was so good-from the hummus to shaksuka and the baked feta. Just perfect and they were very nice to us even though we pretty much closed the place. Hope to come back sometime.

Loved the food here (shakshuka and Adana kebap were particularly delicious). Service was the right balance of attentive without being intrusive. The belly dancer livened the atmosphere. There were only two of us, and we want to come back so we can try more dishes.
UPDATE- enjoyed it so much we went back later that week. My friend wanted more shakshuka before she left. Had the small meze sampler (delicious), beef shish kabap, Beyti kebab (not my fave, felt the meat was overpowered by the lavash and yogurt) and dessert. Baklava trio was so good, liked the one soaked in milk the best. Kunefe was really tasty as well.

Excellent will definitely go back. Gyros were a bit thin and overcooked, but probably just preference on my part. Excellent service and the rest of the meal was perfect.

Went to dinner Thursday evening. Nice place, open kitchen concept. Our Server was nice, and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a Doner/Gyro and the Husband order the Grouper Kebab. I liked what I ordered, even though the presentation wasn’t what I expected. Growing up in Europe, I’m used to Döner and Gyros. The Grouper was very good according to the Husband, but for the price, a side of Rice or Fries would have been nice. There was complimentary Bread after the initial greet.

This hidden gem was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was perfect. The wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. That is not an adequate description of how simply wonderful the food was. The plating was elegant. The portion was perfect for lunch. I can’t say enough about this restaurant. Would definitely go again when I am in the area. Might even plan a trip just to go back. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.

It’s clear that this place is newly opened — the environment is clean and everything feels fresh. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and most of what we tried was quite good. We especially recommend the hummus; it pairs well with the freshly baked bread, which was delicious.
However, there were a few disappointments. The butter shrimp had an overpowering flavor that the butter and cheese couldn’t balance, resulting in a clashing taste. The beef dumplings also fell short — they had a strong, watery flavor from being boiled, which detracted from the overall experience. We wouldn’t recommend these two dishes.
Some of the kebab options were on the salty side, but pairing them with rice helped balance the flavors nicely. We didn’t try any of the alcoholic drinks, but there is a bar with a selection of beverages available.

What a fantastic restaurant in West Ocean City! We drive half an hour every month for their delicious food, wine and food specials. Always have had wonderful friendly service. Last two times we’ve been here, we had the Monday night special – one kebab, second one half price. We also had buy one get one free Turkish red wine. Both are such great deals!
