Surprised to see a Hawaiian place on our drive down to St. George! Really happy to eat some good pancakes and fish and Hawaiian is always a plus in my book, and this place is run by folks from the island and that comes through in the decor, music and menu. Everyone but me got the pancakes which were good. I ordered a Panko-crusted fish and macaroni salad, which I doused with soy and chili water ‘cause you know, I like that. The fish was crunchy and accented well by the seaweed and sesame seeds. The portions were plenty big—I just got the bowl but that was plenty. Fun place, super nice and helpful, they came around the counter to help me decide what to order. I’d definitely swing by again.

Super cute, small place. They have items and food available for purchase that have to do with the cuisine + culture to go alongside their really tasty food. They have a deal for Snow College students to get a $5 bowl that has rice + meat + Mac salad or corn and you can add a drink for $1. Very reasonably priced and good quality food with fast service.

This restaurant has a lot of potential to be a fun little spot to get some unique food compared to the area. Unfortunately it’s not very good. The chicken and pork are not very appetizing and come with surprisingly small amounts of rice. The sea food is good but you will need to pay quite a bit more for it. Give it a try if you absolutely want Hawaiian food. If you notice that all the 5 star reviews are people from Hawaii who haven’t eaten at this location you can get an idea of their business practices as well.

They have good food but the portions are way to small for how much you pay. Customer service is great very friendly, but management is not the best. Due to how one owner is publicly shaming a great family well known in the community. I see that they aren’t very willing to listen to constructive criticism or give them selves a 5 star rating to counter said criticism. Which is not great for business. Especially in the small community where we treat each other like family.

I was not impressed. I ordered the ground beef steak. I received 2 fairly small patties on a deep bed of rice. The onion gravy was delicious and definitely the best part of the meal, although the meat was adequate. I was not asked what sides I would like with it so I assumed there were standard sides which accompany it. They were macaroni salad and MORE rice. I vegetable would have been great! And for this they charged $13!

I’ve had their food when they had a lunch truck on Maui, it was great. They make comfort food local style. About small portions, I’m at a lost cause they always had great portions. I would definitely recommend this place. I just wish they had a place in Los Angeles so I could enjoy their lunches again. And thanks for all you guys did for the boarding dept.

Came to town for a mountain bike race. Stopped in here on a whim. Staff was friendly and food was quite tasty. Large portions were welcoming and so many fun photos of the islands and family of the owner on the walls. Fast service and reasonable prices. Would recommend.

In a small town like Ephraim, it’s great to have restaurants like Kalama’s to give some variety. The food is excellent too! I had the coconut shrimp bowl and my wife have the Kalama’s pork bowl. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and had lots of coconut. The pork is another level of delicious. Great place to get some great food!

This is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but the food was good. I ordered the pork tacos, which was the best thing on the menu, in my opinion. A couple of our group got the teriyaki chicken, which I tried and thought was good, but I liked my pork tacos better. My husband got the pork bowl, which he liked, but again, he thought my pork tacos were better. So, I highly recommend the pork tacos!
