As a local, I’ve been wanting to try Kalaka for a while, and it did not disappoint! My husband and I stopped in during lunch, and it was such a great experience.
The atmosphere was great — they played good, low music that set the vibe without being loud. You can actually have a conversation, which I really appreciate, especially during lunch.
I ordered the pomegranate margarita. It was definitely on the liquor-forward side (not complaining at all ), but in my opinion it would’ve been even better without the big craft ice ball. That said, if you’re a sipper, the ice helps dilute it perfectly over time.
For food, my husband ordered the Kalaka Burrito and I had the Aztec Bowl — I highly recommend both! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying.
Overall, such a solid spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in for a business lunch. First time eating at this restaurant. David our server was amazing very friendly and attentive. We tried multiple items off the menu and everything was great. I highly recommend the Chicharrones, al pastor wings, and any of the tacos all were delicious. Great for business meetings or just casual dinning nice place I’ll definitely be back.

I don’t get up to this end of town very often, but when I do this is my favorite place to stop for brunch – especially since the patio is dog friendly and I almost always have a dog or two along for the ride.
I’m a big fan of the carrot margarita – I know, it sounds weird, but it’s super yummy. Last time I was in I had the breakfast tacos, and the friend dining with me had the brunch skillet. Both of us were very happy with our choices.
On this most recent visit, service could have been better and the bar area cleaner, but I’ll definitely be back for the margaritas.

My husband and I visited this restaurant last night. It was it was so good the drink my husband had watermelon Margarita and I had the pomegranate Mojito. I added a little bit of alcohol because I couldn’t taste it but overall we had the fajitas shrimp and veggies they had two options for $29. I decided to go with this one because it was worth it. They gave you four tortilla with it and they gave you salsa, avocado, sour cream on the side and if my husband had the bowl that come with rice and chicken, it was so good I like the atmosphere because they are like music playing we sat outside. We were super hungry when we came and then we left with our belly full of food and we couldn’t even do any more activities because we’re a soulful but we could do it relax and take a nap It was kinda chilly, but it was good. It wasn’t chilly chilly, but it was good but overall we had fun. I’m glad we decided to come to this restaurant because the food was on point.

Govany is the best he helped me try something new for once this was only my fourth time here! I came on a whim after work, craving the Birria tacos and a margarita! I had a wonderful experience sitting alone at the bar with Govany as my guide! I had the Carne Asada and it was absolutely beyond delicious! Also, if you’ve never been here, this whole place is a vibe! It doesn’t matter where you sit it’s low lit and cozy. There’s actual pillows in the booths and even sitting at the bar is comfortable and relaxing. Walking in here feels like you’re on vacation.

One of the best Mexican food I have eaten. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was outstanding. The margarita flight stole my heart. I had the sopas for the first time and couldn’t stop eating. The birria tacos was mouth watering.

We came here for brunch and ordered the mole enchiladas and breakfast burrito with coffee and a carrot margarita. The entrees were fantastic, the service incredibly friendly, and the carrot margarita was wonderful. The house salsa had a beautifully balanced spice to flavor ratio. I wish this place was in my hometown! Would absolutely come back and recommend this place to others. I’m sure their lunch and dinner offerings are also great. A hidden gem and well worth your time.

Went to celebrate my 19th heart transplant anniversary and it was wonderful. Had been looking to go for several months, had been dreaming about the menu, and we all really loved it.
Food ordered: chicarones, green chili queso, elote, and three tacos. Everything was outstanding. Too many times the tortillas don’t hold up to the taco fixings. Not a problem here. I was least excited for the queso and it might have been my favorite. So good.
Sopaillas to end the night, and because of the occasion the staff did something special. Can’t wait to go back.
FYI – the coin margarita at happy hour is a great value. Do it. (And be prepared to order more than one)

Went out with the family and decided to try Kalaka because a friend recommended it. Our friend said the trash can nachos are delicious, so we ordered that to start with and I loved it ! For entrees there was carne asada plate, Aztec bowl, carne asada/shrimp tacos, and birria tacos with its consomé. All the food was incredible. I will return!
