I went to Kaiser Tiger before a Chicago Bulls game on sunday. It was starting to fill up shortly after I arrived. I was meeting some family members who were also going to the game with me. I ordered a bowl of chili before my guests arrived and it was served cold with no onions, sour cream, or cheese to accompany the soup. I asked for them to warm up the chili, which they did, and then it was served to me with just a sprig of cheese on top. The atmosphere was lively and the waiter was fine as she was fast and thorough but then my table and I ordered food. I ordered the smoked Italian beef sandwich. My guests order the grilled cheese and the turkey Reuben. The Italian beef would disappoint a chicagoan and an Italian if not the combination. It was served semi warm and with no filling, three pieces of beef and a small amount of peppers. My guest with the grilled cheese didn’t even look like it was melted and my other guests sandwich looked a little less appealing. I have never been here but my guests have which makes me second guess them. Over everything else, the food was terrible but a good beer list and good service.

I came to kill a little time here not expecting too much, was originally just going to grab a beer and go. until i saw the menu, and thought i at least have to give a sausage a try. i wasn’t able to stay too long so i only got the chicken noodle soup along with the sausage and cheese platter. i explained to my friend who i later went to see that day that the first bite felt like the scene in ratatouille where the food critic gets taken back to his childhood. oh my goodness my mouth was exploding with flavors i loved every single bite, i had to save some to take for her to try.
on top of the excellent food, they had such an extensive list of draft beers which i really liked, and almost all of them were available in 5oz pours for like $3-5 which made for a good build your own flight. my bartender was sergio, thank you for the wonderful hospitality, drink recommendations and conversation. and also thank you to paddy, who i met some months ago who first put this place on my radar through casual conversation with a stranger.

Shocked by the review below me… our service was amazing. I actually am kicking myself for not getting our waitresses name. Every single person we came in context with asked how our food was, and if we needed anything. Our waitress was giving lots of great recommendations and even gave me a sample or 2 to try out. (All were amazing). The food we thought, was also really good. I also got the turkey sandwich on focaccia and it was KILLER. Smoky, fresh, high quality ingredients. My husband got the cheesy brat and thought it was really good too. We will definitely be back – great place for a casual German bite.

I was in Chicago, looking for a place to have a quick bite. This place was so good, I went back the next night! Staff were all friendly and attentive, the craft beer selection was fantastic, and the food was amazing!

Smash burger was awesome. Kaiser cheese dip was melted hot on top but icey cold inside. Very few chips. The wait staff was Awesome. #SETH Witty names and fun drinks. Games outside. They have a shuttle to the United Center which is AMAZING!

I stopped in Monday at 12:10pm. I walked in and it was a bit awkward because there were two people at a table with their laptops out and someone mopping the floor. I stayed by the door because I thought I walked in while it was closed and checked the hours on my phone. They had just opened. I hesitantly sat at the bar and no one greated me or talked to me. The bartender didn’t appear for what seemed longer than usual. Once the bartender appeared I ordered and the beer on tap was amazing.I got the small sausage and cheese board which says would serve 2-4 people but it was very small I would say only enough for two people and that’s if you have it as an appetizer. The two people that were sitting at the table were management and twice during the time I was there one of them decided to sit or stand right next or behind me and have a sales meeting with people offering their craft beer. The restaurant/bar was completely empty I was the only customer and they could have sat or stood in a more private area. I was there to relax and not to be part of their meetings. The environment didn’t feel welcoming and I felt invisible.I had to get the bartenders attention whenever I needed another drink or a box to go, he was on his phone or talking to management. I didn’t even get a refill on my water. My bill was $53 after the appetizer and two beers + the tip

Best thing about this place is that they have a shuttle to the united center. I didn’t love the food, the drinks were odd. But the service was decent. We asked for a to go box and it never came, which wasn’t the end of the world.
It was very loud, def a sports bar but they do allow children.
I got a turkey sandwich and French fries, not great, not too bad. My partner got veggie chili and a mushroom sandwich, he liked it. And it smelled good. They also have a large pretzel which was stale.

This place is great! I went with some family friends this weekend. They have a great outdoor patio area which is where we sat. They have a solid beer selection and great food (the smash burger was amazing!) but most importantly, they have a cat named Bacon who is too adorable
