I always get delivery from Kaiseki, it’s always very good and fresh! I didn’t try the other dishes yet, but the sushi is amazing! The restaurant is not that big, so if you want to seat you should arrive early, I’m not sure if they take reservations (I only been at the restaurant once).
And for Kaiseki: please don’t remove sake sea menu 13 from delivery please, it’s my favorite! (:

Nice restaurant, good food and nice interior design. Too many tables for my taste, I imagine that at rush hour it can be noisy in the main room. There are private rooms for bigger groups, which can be fun.
At the beginning the waitress was more interested in her phone than me but she got into the work routine fast enough.
They don’t accept visa cards. Also., for a ‘receipt’ they showed me the screen of a phone and I only got my proper bill after asking.

This place is a gem in Karlsruhe. So sad I only came across this place a few weeks ago otherwise I would have never gone to another asian cuisine restaurant. Pretty sure this will be my go to place for craving Japanese. The food was incredible and the service something you rarely find anymore. We had a fantastic experience dining here. Also recommended it to friends who tried it out and where just as impressed by the quality of food and service as we were.
Actually i don’t wanna recommend this place because I am worried too many people find out about it and I won’t get a table there anymore

I discovered this place through my colleagues. It’s cosy and easy to find . If you want to have a great experience with Japanese food, make sure to go here. If you wanna have a great experience with food, also go here . The staff is sweet and kind. The presentation of the different courses is beautiful #worthseeing. We loved the broccoli and the sweet potatoes . The duck meat was so good. The lady next to us praised the ginger tea she got. I regretted why I didn’t order some. I am definitely coming back here. I would like for all my friends to try this restaurant ♥️. Something that bothered me was the fake plants. I hope they get some real ones. Maybe a menu in English would be convenient. In general, it’s a for me.

I really wanted to like this place but can’t give it 5 stars. Beat part was the food flavor. 5 stars for that. You should probably make a reservation as it gets busy around 730/8pm. We stayed about two hours and they were rushing us a bit which lost them 1 star. Also, our bill was around 70€ and cash only was kind of a bummer. Who doesnt accept card? It’s 2019.
Also, it was difficult to understand the waitress as her German accent was very heavy and she didn’t know what was included in their main appetizer plate in their combo meal for 1, which could be problematic for people with food allergies. Miso soup was only lukewarm, and usually at restaurants it’s boiling hot. I probably won’t visit again. Side note, service was good, people were friendly.

Fish was fresh and good quality but the service was rather sluggish although there was only our table in the entire restaurant.
A card payment wasn’t accepted so we had to walk so long to find the cash. Who doesn’t accept cards these days?!

Came here with a colleague who never tried Japaneae food. We had some tempura, takoyaki, Karlsruhe roll and fried udon noodles. The tempura was pretty good, and udon not bad. The roll, however, had a burnt taste to it (probably from the tortched salmon on top), and you coud not taste the tuna inside the roll. The takoyaki were too creamy without much “tako” inside.
The worst is that some questionable service happened when happened when we wanted to pay: one person said that we can pay by credit card, another said that their internet is not working and we need to pay in cash. We had to walk to find an atm, withdraw cash and return to pay, questioning why the restaurant staff were not on the same page with each other.

Review update 2023. Prices have gone up, and quality has gone down
Sushi is usually fresh and good, but always depends on who is making it. I always order the same dish and can tell which chef is in based on the quality of the cuts, the components, and the visual arrangement of the plate. Lately portions are getting smaller and the rice seems overcooked.
The sashimi bento keeps getting smaller and smaller. No longer worth the 25€ so I will likely stop ordering here soon. As of 2023 I tried it again and it is now more than 35€
Their online ordering system also doesn’t contain all of the options you see in the restaurant’s menu, but if you know your dish name and price, you can still order over the phone for pick-up.
They don’t accept cards ever. Only cash or online payments.

Loved the Ramen (We ordered the one with beef and fried chicken ). The portion size is perfect and really decently priced.
I would definitely visit again to try some of their other dishes.
