Not very impressed by this place. Especially with all the hype I saw on social media. Hush puppies came burnt and were served with maple syrup, what happened to tartar sauce or malt vinegar? Ordered garlic noodles for $7.99, no flavor what so ever, and I’m trying to figure out how these are worth almost $8? The crab boil was mediocre, my shrimp were overcooked and hard to the point I didn’t eat them. Crab was ok, definitely not the freshest and was overcooked, you couldn’t even get it out of the shell, it was just sticking to it. I would not recommend this place. Drove over a hour due to all the hype surrounding it and was definitely disappointed. The fact you have to pay for every item individually is highway robbery, eggs were rubbery. Please listen to the bad reviews and save yourself some money.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best in the City!
I just had the crab Cajun boil bag and WOW—it’s hands down the best I’ve had in the city! I only wish I had found this place sooner. At first, I was a little hesitant because they don’t have many photos online, but I decided to trust—and I’m so glad I did. No regrets at all! I ordered mine hot and spicy—perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Our waitress was amazing. So helpful showing us the menu and what to expect. I was shocked how much food comes in this huge steamed bag. They give you gloves and a bib and take my advice you the bib and gloves. It’s messy but the net crab legs I have had in years. I will be back again for sure. Also the price was a deal for 2 lbs is $50. Can’t beat that.

After coming in, you guys really are the BEST! My baby, really enjoyed everything about Kai’s from the exceptionally great waiter (Jordan) to the great food! She asked, “papaw, can we come back once a week”? Thank you all, for being great & for helping my baby have a great 18th birthday!

A solid 4, with good food (details below) and fantastic service! The team is obviously trained with superior customer service, from the waited, to hostess, and even the bar tending coming over to assist. Well above industry average. For food, it was good with some minor critiques. That’s to the previous reviewer from 4 months complaining there was “too much” lobster meat in the sandwich…well now there’s not enough meat. So thanks for ruining that! The lobster sandwich was good but the $22 price point hurt. The bags of seafood we ordered al la Cart and the severe did a great job explaining. Not a fan of the QR-code only menu with no physical menu. It hurts the overall atmosphere. It was an open room with tables and you could hear every one’s conversation, so set expectations. The crab legs were washed and cooked with normal practices but every other leg you could tell it tasted a tad off. For the prices you pay for the seafood, the expectations are higher. The staff were the star of the show. Happy to come here, but will keep exploring the area.

Super cool little place. We weren’t very impressed by the food though. We each got a boil bag with shrimp and veggies, one garlic and one cajun, neither were very flavorful to us.

The vibe and staff were great though!

Also, BRING YOUR OWN TUPPERWARE WHEN YOU GO OUT! Let’s reduce our waste, yo. 😉

First time stopping at Kai’s and we enjoyed great food and service! We were hesitant at first…not sure what to expect in the strip mall spot-so glad we did! Very generous portions, Kai’s Kajun flavor was the bomb. We had snow crab and shrimp combo, both were fresh and the legs were nice sized. Full bar and Jordan provided perfect service! Definitely worth it!

Honestly, the food was disappointing. The sauces tasted like melted butter mixed with every powdered seasoning available, yet somehow still lacked real flavor—just greasy and gritty rather than well-balanced.
We ordered the Cajun Hot Pacific Combo and lemon pepper garlic shrimp. While the price was reasonable and the crab was good, the shrimp were inconsistent—some tasted freshly cooked, while others were mushy and falling apart, as if mixed in from an older batch. That inconsistency is what prompted me to write this review.
The sides were also underwhelming: the potatoes and corn were undercooked, and the egg was overcooked to the point of being rubbery and dry.
The atmosphere wasn’t very inviting—small, outdated tables and a loud environment that felt more like an old strip-mall takeout spot. One of the young women at the counter seemed unsure when taking our order, though another employee stepped in to help.
Overall, I believe the food could improve significantly with better-quality ingredients and freshly made sauces rather than relying heavily on powdered seasonings. Unfortunately, we left regretting the meal.

Hands down, best seafood boil around. But also have amazing fried seafood if that’s your jam. Hushpuppies are to die for.
