Ok, so I was there with some friends from out of town and the staff took such good care of us. The Neon red head lady who works there was so on top of everything. Don’t get me wrong, the whole bar staff was great, she just was who I interacted with every time I ordered, she didn’t forget anything that me and my friends ordered once. It was so busy Saturday night too! I was impressed!
The bouncers were friendly, especially the punk rock guy with the patch vest. He was incredibly accommodating and checked on everyone all night, not just us either! I was watching the poor fella basically run around the bar and keeping it together, I can tell he genuinely wants everyone to feel welcome and safe there. We had so much fun and ill definitely be back. My out of town friends are from Europe so it’ll be unlikely ill have them with me again but they enjoyed the entirety of Kaiju. Just so y’all know, we planned on bar hopping and didnt because we got so into this place that we forgot, LOL.
What a great atmosphere and friendly crowd. I definitely recommend this lil bar to anyone whose into more of an alternative crowd. Zero complaints

Kaiju is a Louisville classic. Has hands down one of the best bar atmospheres I’ve been to. Very cool theme and soft lighting making it a great date night or fun night out with friends. We got the hot sake (photoed here) and it was pretty good if you like sake.
The sushi is provided by DKD but I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the sushi here and not had a stomach ache after. The drinks are good and the bartender is friendly. They always have a good cult classic movie playing by the bar.
We visited on stand up night and thought they started 30 minutes late, it was worth the free admission. Check out what they’re doing on their website because I know they do some cool events. Definitely worth the trip.

decent bar, great soju and sake options, but a little bit expensive with long waits for drinks. I miss when they did more live music. Lots of places to sit down, though! Food is yummy, but sells out on the weekends

Yesterday I saw three bands Morris, Wailing Storm & Kids Born Wrong. I really enjoyed Morris & Wailing Storm. Great bar/venue with a quirky atmosphere and eclectic music. They also have comedy shows and trivia here as well. Very friendly staff too. I’ll be back!

Good drinks at a reasonable price and a nice atmosphere with Japanese snacks such as curry noodles that are hard to find elsewhere. Taking a star off because the bartender cast a spell for me to get explosive diarrhea. Otherwise great.

I came here with friends on a Sunday afternoon after playing tennis with them. This place is a vibe! The drinks were strong and delicious, and the interior space was intimate and cozy to hang out with friends after a long week. The whole establishment is a Kaiju theme as the name of this place. Cool stuff! The staff and their services were superb and highly attentive to your (drink) needs. There is street parking if you are interested in checking out this place.
I recommend this place if you want something casual; great vibe with friends!
