If you’re in the mood for sushi that’s as creative as it is high-quality, Kaijin Sushi is the spot. They even named a roll after us — The WB for Wil and Brittany — and let me tell you, you must order it. You won’t regret it. We had to come back twice this week for another round. Every bite is fresh, balanced, and full of flavor.
The service is just as impressive as the food: warm, attentive, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like family. From start to finish, the entire experience is top-notch.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves sushi done right.

The sushi quality is average. Tuna is a little stringy. Salmon is good. Rolls have way more sauce than necessary. Price is reasonable for some but not all. The service is slow but understandable and she did her best. Easy to park.
Chicken karaage is not authentic.

Loved the sushi here! The baked Salmon roll was creamy and flavorful, shrimp tempura had the perfect crunch without being oily, and the spicy edamame was such a fun appetizer with just the right amount of heat. Great experience overall.

Cute atmosphere and tucked away the busy streets of L.A. Parking was easy to find but might depend on the time you arrive. The quality of the fish is superb! Service is amazing!

I tried their mix. Sushi sat, and the sashimi was so fresh and I could really tell all the sushi was made with care! The price point is affordable too, so I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good sushi spot near the Grove.

Wonderful food and attentive, friendly staff. Chef made a special treat for my nephew (4yo) and gave the adults a piece of negiitoro as well (complimentary). Very reasonable prices for delicious food.

After dining Kaijin on Friday night, we’ve found our new favorite neighborhood sushi spot. The fish was fresh and reasonably priced, complemented by warm and attentive service. The added experience of getting alcohol next door was a plus. With an extensive menu, it was challenging to make a decision, but eventually, we settled on the Aquaman roll – and it was incredibly delicious! We’ll be back soon!

This place was amazing. The sushi rolls were amazing and especially the one we had with baked salmon on top (paradise roll I think?) was just perfect. Everybody here seemed super nice and fun to have a conversation with. Ingredients are very fresh too.
I’m from CA and was taking some European family on a trip through LA so I was really just looking for somewhere to eat between Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Tourist stops. We stumbled across this and I’m going to make it a point to come back every time I’m in town. 11/10, would recommend!!
