Loved this spot, super friendly and professional staff. But the chicken teriyaki was incredibly good, loved the wood charcoal smoke flavor on how the chicken was grilled, and added depth to the main dish that you can’t beat for those summer nights in the Bay Area. The gyoza was perfectly fried with rich pork flavor blended well inside the fried dumplings, the side salad had a nice sweet dressing that paired well with the simple ingredients, perfectly cooked fluffy whole rice, prepped well. And the house-made teriyaki shines through with the 10/10 teriyaki that has that wood fire smoke profile. Love the spot so much will get to eat here again soon. Easily climbs to the top of the list of places I want to eat here again or bring friends too.

Run by Korean, people working there are rude and bear no manner. Dined there once, I remember service was rushy and unfriendly. Waitress threw things on our table. They don’t bother hiding their rudeness and there was no respect in their service. Food was average. They gave you tons of rice. People might not remember what you say but will always remember what you do and how you make them feel.

My wife and I went to KAI a few evenings ago. Very wonderful Japanese food. My wife had Saba Shioyaki and I had Don Katsu. The food came out, we dug in and was very delicious. KAI was quite busy, mostly with take out orders, and they have a limited staff, but our food was delivered to our table with a smile regardless. We will go back again.

Came for Friday lunch, place was pretty deserted. I played it safe with Chicken Teri and Gyoza. Unimpressed. Chicken itself was chewy and tasteless. Gyoza looked and tasted like they came from the frozen food section. Everything had a burnt aroma. Presentation was nice!

New restaurant new ownership that took over the old Ariake Sushi. I had second thoughts of going here but I decided to give it a try since I was originally going here for lunch thinking Ariake Sushi was still here. Inside was super cold. I ordered the lunch special bento box beef teriyaki and tempura. The miso soup that came with the bento box was plain and didn’t look right. The beef teriyaki was dry and over cooked and the tempura was over cooked as well. The only good thing was the coke I ordered on the side and the hot green tea. I would not recommend anyone going here. Try at your own risk!

Good taste and service! Ordered the chicken teriyaki and tempura combo (with miso soup, salad and rice). Since I was the only customer around 8pm, the food came really fast. The chicken teriyaki tastes good, and the tempura is hot, delicious and crispy! What’s even better is that it only takes you $9.99 before tax. Great value for the service and food! Will definitely come back again!
