The shrimp and whitefish are as amazing. Huge portions that we couldn’t finish. Cooked to perfection. The wait staff was very friendly the pkace is clean and airy. Plenty of room to sit. Highly recommend.

One of the best Hawaiian BBQ restaurants in Tucson. You get a really good amount of food for the dollar. Be patient because sometimes it’ll take a bit to get your food. Rest assured it’ll be worth it and fresh. Their Katsu chicken and BBQ mix is always fresh and on point.

Casual and well-priced, convenient and comfortable! Tried this place on a whim and was surprised to find it is absolutely full of flavor and good vibes. We got mini-meals at less than $10 per meal and it was still so much food that we had to take home leftovers. Got some classic BBQ Chicken and Kahu Fire Chicken, will most likely be coming back for more!

I just got food from this place, this is my second time ordering food. The food is so delicious, never dissatisfied when I eat here. I ordered the seafood mix that includes rice, shrimp, fish, teriyaki chicken and macaroni. I shared the plate with my son. Altogether I paid around $18 and that included a straberry guava nectar drink. The guava drink was really good too.
I went for a second time, everything was delicious. The sauces they give you are so good .

First time going here this place was pretty good. I’m not a fan of the macaroni salad but I’m sure there is a bunch of people who love it. Just not me. However the generous servings here make up for everything! I’m talking massive servings! Love that! I had the shrimp and barbecued chicken combo loved it.

THE BEST HAWAIIAN FOOD Tucson has to offer!
It is delicious every visit. The food is amazing and the portions to the price are amazing! I feel like 1 plate can feed 2 people which is what my husband and I usually do.
My favorite thing is their white fish and their Mac salad.
Hands down the cleanest restaurant too. They keep it so uniformed and service is great on how the place is kept tidy.
I’ve already been here too many times that I’ve lost count. So yummy!

Some of the best Hawaiian food in town and an excellent value. What I love about kahu is that they have different plate options to fit your needs and all of them come with a lot of food. I had the bbq mix plate most recently and it was varied and tasty. Highly recommend.

Great Hawaiian BBQ!!!
We go to Costco off the 10 Fwy and South Kino Pkwy. When we are done, we make a stop into Kaho Hawaiian BBQ. Been there 4 times and this place has been very consistent.
Staff is friendly, service is fast and the food tastes great!
We always get the BBQ and Katsu Mix. This plate has fried chicken with a light and very crispy panko breadcrumb on the outside, BBQ chicken and BBQ beef. It’s served over a bed of steamed cabbage with a side of white rice and some of the best tasting macaroni salad have ever had.
The fried panko chicken is perfectly cooked. Crispy but not oily at all. The meat is tender. The same goes for the BBQ chicken. Great BBQ taste and the chicken is always tender. They use thighs for this one which in my opinions it’s the best choice. The BBQ beef is also very good. Nothing is salty or greasy. It’s just right.
The plain white rice goes very well with the order. It’s cooked just right. The side I wish we got more of is the macaroni salad. Some may think it’s too sweet for a mac salad but I think it’s the best Mac salad ever!!! I want more!!! Best I can say is try it and you be the judge.
All in all this is a great combination of food. And for the price I believe it to be a fair deal. Great taste and value portion wise for the money. The place is very comfortable, restrooms are clean. It’s a pleasure to go there.
I have not tried the other dishes which have fish/shrimp. For now I am stuck on the BBQ and Katsu Mix because it’s so good. But one day I will try the plates that have fish and shrimp. I’m sure they won’t disappoint.

It was a great first experience. The food was delicious and with good portions. Kinda wish there was more of the macaroni salad, but even the plain rice wasn’t bad. Normally I prefer teriyaki sauce, but the katsu sauce was the better of the two options you can serve yourself. They also provide “duck sauce” packets that I ended up liking more than the teriyaki.
