My friend and I decided to try Kahlo Cafe after seeing it mentioned in the TikTok comments of Tierra Mia’s videos. Someone suggested supporting Kahlo Cafe instead since it’s a local, Latina-owned business, and we loved that idea.
I ordered the Diego Rivera sandwich,(half eaten in the pic) and it was solid! fresh ingredients, a generous amount of filling, and it came with potato chips and the smallest, cutest pickle ever lol.
However, there was a bit of a hiccup with the drinks. We were the only customers inside, and after ordering, we waited assuming they were being made in the back. After about 20 minutes, I went up to ask about them and they had forgotten to make them. They apologized and made them quickly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the drink sparkling sangria refresher i ordered wasn’t very flavorful & pretty basic. My friend got the banana latte and she said it was mid as well. Ultimately, the drinks we ordered aren’t something we would order again.
They did apologize and gave us a slice of cake, which was nice of them, though I gave it to my friend so I didn’t get to try it.
Overall, the food was good, and I’m willing to go back to try their pastries and try out other drinks. Supporting local and Latina-owned businesses is important to me, so I’m hoping next time the experience is much better.

This is a super clean and cute coffee shop that just opened last week! As a banana latte connoisseur I’m always looking to try banana lattes at new places and I absolutely LOVED their banana latte. They use fresh banana puree & syrup and loved the expresso, not milky just perfect! I love they are open until 7pm because most other shops are closed by 5pm in the area and my co worker said their sandwiches are good too. Can’t wait to try them

The cafe de olla was delicious ! Sweetened with piloncillo and cinnamon. I had the Lox Bagel. The best ive had. Quality salmon, fresh dill and capers on a perfectly toasted bagel and plenty of cream cheese. This place is dog friendly. I was greated with warm welcomes and smiles. Love this place. Will be back

Ordered an iced chocolate abuelita and a hot cafe de olla, both were great. They have a restroom for customers. There is seating inside to sit down.

I don’t know what’s better, their homemade flan or fresh roasted coffee beans. Their espresso shots are full of flavor and I can tell they take their time with homemade recipes. Great place to hang out, love the atmosphere and can’t wait to try their lunch menu.

We were so excited to try this out and it just did not live up to expectations. Hopefully things will get better as they get more into the swing of things. Food and drinks both took a long time to come out, and both of my friends bagel sandwiches were missing avocado, and one of them was missing cream cheese that she had requested, which an employee overheard and did bring out later. The cherry pastry was not great, either. The banana latte was, unfortunately, super gross. It was not sweet at all, and just tasted bitter and milky. The addition of some sort of sugar or syrup would have gone a long ways towards making it drinkable. Really disappointed, we were all so excited to try this place out!
