The space is spotless, bright, and inviting — the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, and the coffee was spot on.

It’s definitely more of a relaxed, sit-down brunch destination rather than a quick grab-and-go place, but that’s part of its charm. If you’re looking to slow down and enjoy great food in a lovely atmosphere, this is the perfect place. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been coming here for about a month for brunch on Saturdays. I go there and either study or if I’m with my b/f we’ll do the crossword together.

This time I ordered the Roasted Corn and Cilantro Toast. They were kind enough to accommodate my request for no cilantro.

I also grabbed a tiramisu donuts to go. The barista was nice and asked if I wanted extra cocoa.

Each time I go the food is lovely, as is the atmosphere and the employees.

Egg Plate and Cold Nitro Brew were great. Really busy so it took 20 minutes, but happy to hang out and chat while we waited.

Kaffeology is fantastic! Before arrival, take care to drive slow, as this place is on a major road that connects the whole of Aquidneck Island. It is also located near a school, so driving the speed limit is recommended as there may be a police officer parked nearby looking to keep the streets safe and insurance premiums stabilized.

Parking is ample, though, and outdoor seating is more widely available than indoor. So, if you see a lot of cars parked, but no one outside, you can assume its crowded.

Service tended to be a tiny bit slow, but patience is a good thing to practice for me! I really enjoyed both the gluten-free sandwich and the coffee. The sandwich was a healthy portion, and well worth the tiny wait and price. It was a maple salt sausage, egg, and cheese, and the taste blend was immaculate.

I’ll be back for another Aquidneck Island breakfast!

Excellent coffee!! The best around! I have not been disappointed with any of the drinks I have ordered. Highly recommend! This location also has a big porch with tables that is so relaxing to enjoy your delicious drinks on! I come back every time I visit the area! Their Newport location is just as great, only smaller and more crowded, but I highly recommend both. Kaffeology is amazing!!

Food and coffee were excellent. Cute spot for breakfast indoor or outdoors. The food is served in take-out containers and handed to you in a paper bag regardless of dining location preference. Seems like a huge waste of packaging.

It’s my little hidden gem. The vibe and atmosphere are great here. Very nicely appointed with indoor and outdoor seating. There’s a handful of pastries to include various breakfast options. The various beverages, coffee, lattes, hot or cold. The Acai bowl was delicious. The avocado toast was great. The service was top-notch. Staff was very friendly. There’s so much to choose from. I will absolutely return for sure. Kaffeology is on top of my list of places of repeat visits. Can’t wait to go back.

Quirky milkshake and sandwich shop with wonderful outdoor seating. We went to the Portsmouth restaurant. If I could make a suggestion, please have a larger drinking water jug for customers to pour water. My friend had asked the cashier who took our order whether sandwiches took a long time to make. The reply was no. However, did take 25 minutes for sandwiches to arrive.

A fabulous start for the day here, coffee and an almond croissant for Mrs. K. and I as we’re driving through Rhode Island.

Tucked away in what was obviously once a domestic house and carefully transformed into a welcoming café, Kaffeology in Portsmouth feels like a well-kept secret. Although you can still feel the bones of the house, the conversion is tactful and sensitive, and the flow is surprisingly good for a coffee shop. It’s the type of location where you naturally speak more quietly – not because you have to, but rather because the ambiance encourages serenity.

The almond croissant went well with a well-pulled espresso and was fragrant and crunchy without being too sugary. The fact that Mrs. K. gave her latte the thumbs up is no small accomplishment. The sitting, both indoors and out, was varied enough to accommodate a short visit or a long morning, and the service was friendly yet unobtrusive. With just enough individuality in the décor to be well-curated without being fussy, the area exudes a subtle charm.

Kaffeology is worth the trip if you’re traveling through Aquidneck Island and need a restorative, rather than hurried, break. It aims to be terrific rather than trendy, and that’s just what makes it memorable.
