I had the honor of visiting Kad-E-Korner today and it was wonderful. I loved the feel and atmosphere of the diner. Felt personable, comfortable and welcoming. Not to mention the cheeseburger that I ordered was delicious! It was also to my surprise to see that Chappell Roan visited this awesome diner. I will have to be bringing my friends here next time! The definition of your small town convenience store that happens to serve up a great burger and fries. Don’t let the exterior of the building fool you, while it looks like a small convenience store with old school gas pumps, they have a good selection of typical gas station products and a great kitchen to grab a bite to eat. Staff are always friendly. Food is served up quick and let me tell you, the fries are top-notch. Stop by the next time you find yourself North of Springfield.

What a great little eatery this was. I’m a chef so when I over heard the Young girls talking about how they prefer cooking with fresh oil it let me know that they cared about what they were making. They make their curly fries from scratch. I literally watched the girl put a fresh potato on a spiral fry cutter and she cooked them to perfection. The Bacon cheese burger was a bit small for the price but it taste good, it had a smashed patty on it, next time I’ll ask for grilled onions. The staff was really friendly, it’s a great spot to ride your motorcycle to. I’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I took his mom to try the burgers and fries we’d heard so much about.
It was such a fun experience. We went right after church late morning, so I got a veggie omelette and coffee, while they enjoyed burgers and the famous curly fries! The place is decorated so fun, takes you back in time to when things were simpler. The staff is especially friendly and courteous and made us feel right at home! We will definitely be coming back, and bringing the grandkids sometime!

Loved it! Great little place! Down to earth vibes great people great hamburger and the fries are really good! Corn bites are tasty! Hamburger is thick and very delicious! The family size fries are huge!

My wife and I tried Kad-E-Korner Store & Diner for our weekly Friday date night. We had never been before and thought we would give it a try. It turned out to be a really good choice.
We had a double bacon cheeseburger, a single cheeseburger, one order of onion rings, and a bottled drink for right around 25 bucks. The food was freshly cooked, no frozen patties and fresh toppings.
The hamburger buns were toasted, and the patties were cooked all the way through. I personally don’t like patties cooked all the way through and toasted buns. However, that is on me since I didn’t even think to ask about it, but it was still a very good burger.
Looking at some of the other orders, we would definitely go back to try other menu items and even be interested in going for breakfast.

A great local, small-town, country diner. Great place to eat (it is also a regular gas station) breakfast or lunch. They have specials and a good set menu, but our favorite thing to get is burgers and curly fries. Hand-pattied burgers and hand-cut spiral fries. Get your Fair Grove Festival spiral fries all year long. They make the food right when you order it, so there is a bit of a wait, but it is 100% worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating.

This is a great hidden gem! I saw a Facebook in a group about it. I wanted to try it. It’s only 10 minutes from the house, and I’ll definitely be back. Burger was very good and the fresh fries were really good. I’m usually not a fry guy, and these hit the spot!

My mom & I stopped in because we’ve heard good things about this place and it didn’t disappoint! The burger was real meat, not frozen weird crap. The lettuce, tomato & onions were real hand cut, not some bagged frozen crap. The fries were homemade & DELISH!!! 10/10 will be back here again!

I came here unplanned while visiting the nearby caves. I was really hungry so I stopped at what I thought was a gas station. Once I stepped in I realized that it was also a nice little diner on the side.
I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. I was very surprised to see the cook just grab a tater out of a basket nearby and place it in a spiraller and drop it in hot oil to fry as she grabbed the fresh beef and place it on a old style flat top griddle. As she cooked I noticed a local Springfield newspaper that placed this joint on their top burger list!
The burger was hot and delicious and the fresh fries were absolutely phenomenal. It was a quiet but festive atmosphere complete with everything you would need. Definitely recommend.
There are also beautifully placed picnic tables out back so you can eat outside on nice days.
