To drink we tried The Federal Flower and Cherry Blossom Fizz and one mocktail — Secret Garden Refresher. We shared a few starters including The Mambo and Quiet Crabs (highly recommend!). We shared Flip A Bird (MY FAVE ON THE MENU), Crab Yew Tew, She Said, and Crispy Business. For dessert we ended with Sticky Toffee Cookie which blew us away.
This is a phenomenal place and will have to check out their R&B nights soon! Service was above and beyond and it’s a very cute vibe!!
Our server, Zoe, was sweet, polished, and attentive. She walked us through the menu before we ordered cocktails. I chose the Chocolate City Dream, which allows you to select either vodka or tequila. Although I originally wanted tequila, I opted for Tito’s after learning the tequila selection was limited. I do think something like Tequila Ocho or Flecha Azul would be a great entry point and elevate the cocktail offerings. My friends ordered the Capital City Cooler and really enjoyed their drinks.
Dinner was excellent. Though listed as a small plate, Mo’s Po’ Boy can definitely be enjoyed as an entrée, especially since it’s served with fries. My friends ordered the chicken and the burger and raved about both for the rest of the night.
The intimate setting made it easy to interact with nearby guests and gave the experience a cozy, almost at home feel rather than a typical night out, which we truly enjoyed.
Overall, I’d rate Kache an 8 out of 10. A few minor improvements could enhance the experience even more. The QR code payment system only allowed us to split the bill evenly instead of by item, my martini rang up a few dollars higher than the listed menu price, and the lights flickered throughout our meal, which was a bit distracting. A woman with short hair stopped by our table to say hello… though she didn’t introduce herself, her energy was great and she fit the space well.
One final suggestion would be uploading the menu to the website. We went in a bit blindly but still excited, and being able to preview the offerings beforehand would be a nice touch.
Would definitely return and look forward to seeing how the space continues to grow.
From the absolutely amazing GM who sets the tone with excellence and professionalism, to the talented bartenders crafting top-tier cocktails, and the attentive staff who make you feel like VIP every time — the experience is unmatched.
The service? Impeccable.
The drinks? On point.
The vibe? Elite.
Kaché isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Whether you’re there for dinner, drinks, or just to catch a vibe, they deliver every single time. Highly recommend! ✨
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was so good. We shared the K Street Fries, and I ordered the Crab Yew Tew pasta (low-key wondering if the chef is from Baltimore ), along with the National Mall Fizz mocktail. Everything was amazing. Even though I live in Baltimore, this spot is absolutely worth going back for.
Reservations for 3 at 9pm , my reservations stated that I was celebrating my birthday. I chose this establishment because it states black owned all throughout their IG account noticeably it was next to no brown staff, management, or servers there. We arrived 5 minutes early and were told a table would be available in a few and were asked to sit in the entry area. 20 minutes later we were informed by the General Manager Luna that it was taking longer and if we’d like to sit at the bar, we declined and told her we had been drinking cocktails all day at other establishments and were really just looking forward to dinner. 40 minutes later Luna informed us that they were still allowing folks to dine that arrived 30 minutes late for their reservation and that was the hold up for us being seated..her exact words “ There’s a group that arrived 30 mins late and they’re still dining it would be rude of me to ask them to hurry & finish up right? I mean you guys did right thing, you arrived on time however they have been dining for 3 hours and I’m not sure when you’ll be seated”
Me-What’s the point of reservations!? ITS ACTUALLY RUDE TO NOT SEAT US WHO WERE ON TIME & SHE CONTINUOUSLY TRIED TO HAVE EXCUSES FOR IT. We were shocked that she had that mentality as a GM! I told her “When the group arrived late they should’ve been given a time frame such as 1-2 hours to dine knowing you had others coming with reservations, she said “ I have 20+ years in the restaurant industry I know what I’m doing”. Well apparently she doesn’t!! We watched at least 8 ppl leave after we had to wait. Two women without reservations were seated at the bar to wait for a table (when we were finally lead to upstairs we STILL had to wait for a dining table) a hostess seated two of us at a small round table while having our friend stand, like are you serious!. We noticed that two ladies without reservations were actually at a table eating!!!! We were now an hour plus in and still hadn’t been seated properly so we left. Oh and while waiting my friend had to ask for a comp for our troubles, why wasn’t it offered? So Luna made us cocktails on the house that she said was champagne obviously wasn’t , unbelievable. After being there for an hour she also brought out 3 of their appetizers (quiet crab balls) that wasn’t even fried throughly enough on the inside. I got an email at 10:19pm stating that WE cancelled our reservations, no we arrived EARLY for our reservations and then left after an hour and half of waiting for a table. We planned our entire evening around dinner at Kache just to leave starving and highly disappointed!! We were able to get last minute reservations at STK Steakhouse ,was seated right away and received 5 star dining experience.
