Katcha Thai was exquisite.
The Thai spices and flavors were infused throughout every part of the meal — even the Thai iced coffee carried the same thoughtful depth.
Service was quick and professional, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality delivered.

Decided last minute that i wanted to eat something asian, so i picked Kacha because it was 7 minutes from where I stayed. Did not really have a high expectation for this restaurant in the beginning, but when i tasted their food, i was impressed. I ordered the thai fried rice and crispy chicken, and they were delicious. I thought one was not gonna be enough that’s why i ordered two dish, but it turned out that their servings was more than enough for one person. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. You should try them out too and let us know what you think.

I’ve been going to this place almost every day since the first time i found this place over a week ago. Their Papaya salad, crying tiger and fresh rolls are so good, I just love their food so much, they keep the original thai food flavor, good price and good portion!! Enjoyed their waitresses’ great customer services, they are very friendly and happy people, we are moving to this area soon, will definitely keep going to this place at least once a week the papaya salad is just super great!! The fried rice are awesome too and all the curies!!

I’ve been here plenty of times for lunch and have always been satisfied with my meal. My last visit I tired the fried rice and it was flavorful with a sweetness to it. I had plenty to take home for another two meals. I always get the hot tea with honey to sip on while waiting for my meal.

Pretty decent Thai food in the middle of Virginia. Only get to try their curry noodle and kanoom Jeeb appetizer and thought they were acceptable. I thought the curry was leaning a bit salty, but it’s probably just personal preference. Service is good and friendly. Place is relatively clean. I was there on a Thursday evening and it was not very busy. The appetizer and the cocktail came out right away. Don’t be surprised if you don’t taste any alcohol in the cocktail though. The noodle didn’t take too long to come out either.

Good food and service. Sat down immediately and was asked for drink order within 1 minute of being sat.
Food was excellent although a bit too salty. Very flavorful and tasty though. Portions were good for price too.
I had the chicken Pad Sew Wen, which came with rice too. The rice was an odd add, due to the dish being noodle based.

I came to Kacha Thai on Saturday with four friends. I ordered a Thai tea, crying tiger, and crispy duck. Everything tasted amazing, as always. My only complaint was that the service was very… weird. My party arrived at 5:22. The server proceeded to tell us that they closed at 6 pm (on a Saturday?) And make us feel like we should not dine in. We sat down anyway. Despite the initial rush, the server was somewhat slow getting our orders. Food came out in good time. It got really weird when more people came in. We heard the server turn away several other parties, stating that the restaurant closed at “5:40” to one, then “5:30” to another party. To-go orders were still steadily coming in, so this made no sense. Another party came in and a different employee seated them with no problem. One of the parties that had been turned away observed this and came back in to ask what was happening, which led to more confusion and awkwardness. The whole experience was weird. Kacha Thai may want to update its hours online and on the door, and educate its employees on when they actually close and how to communicate this.

Excellent Food! Great portions and the flavor is OMG!! I got the Spicy Noodle bowl and the Chef made by request, the Basil Fried Rice with Crispy Duck for my companion. Both dishes were awesome and so is the Staff!!

Pretty decent Thai food. I don’t live in Hopewell but it’s nice to see that since the name change from Elephant Thai to Kacha I can get delivery to Colonial heights now for a fee. The fee was definitely worth it in the end to kill our craving for some Thai. We had a good experience with Kacha from putting in the order to consuming their product. I left a three star because I have had some stellar Thai before and I rate against my previous endeavors. This probably isn’t fair to Kacha but I plan to increase my rating in the future if our orders stay consistent. Thanks Kacha!!
